My husband and I came here because we’ve had great experiences at other sushi King locations. Unfortunately, this restaurant did not live up to the name. The air wasn’t turned on, so it was quite warm in the restaurant. Our server, Luke was a nice guy, but did not check on us very often. We were seated near the entrance, and at one point the servers were talking about how they did not want to take care of a large party (5 guests) - in front of the customers waiting to be seated! The food was mediocre at best. Most of the rolls we ordered were bland with an excess of rice and serious lack of sushi. They only had plastic to go cups to put soy sauce in, and nothing to rest the chopsticks on…. It just appeared lazy. Not a great experience and we will not be coming back.

Stale and bland sushi. All of the sushi rolls look and taste the same. They’re not fresh. Probably premade and reheated. Steak was like rubber. Food came out so quick but was almost as if was frozen food. The service was so slow. Waitress took so long to take orders. Kept screwing up our order and bill. She was nice but seemed clueless. Never took the plates and appetizers off the table until I requested. Awful, horrible place. Much better sushi options elsewhere.

One of the nicest sushi king locations I’ve been to. Our waitress kept disappearing for long periods of time, but the food was great!

I was visiting Norfolk and thought I would give this place a shot. At $22 for all you can eat sushi I did not have high hopes. The service was not good at all, they were in a hurry to get me in and out but I can over look that. The food was not good at all. The tuna seemed old and dried out. The yellow tail had no flavor. The eel is usually my favorite and it was not cooked properly and was kind of gross. Even at $22 it was not worth it. I left there hoping I would not get sick later that night. Also, the nail in the coffin, hair on my plate. I would skip this place and find another or wait till you can find another place.

"My daughter, just 16 years old, along with her friends, recently attended the Norfolk dance festival. Eager to enjoy a meal, she inquired about the all-you-can-eat option at a nearby restaurant. The waitress provided a misleading explanation, leading my daughter to believe it encompassed only sushi. Consequently, she ordered chicken fried rice, assuming it would cost $12.50, along with some crab rangoon and a boba drink. Imagine her shock when the bill arrived, totaling $46 instead of the expected $20.Upon questioning the discrepancy, the waitress simply dismissed it with a flimsy excuse: "Oh, I must have explained it poorly." To add insult to injury, a hefty 20% gratuity was automatically included. This blatant exploitation of a group of teenagers is nothing short of a rip-off!!The waitress we had was Asian and she had green eyes just so people know who to question in detail. I feel compelled to share this experience everywhere for visibility, as it serves as a cautionary tale about the importance of transparency and fair treatment in the service industry.

Second visit, but this time the food was not as desirable as before. It was slow out of the kitchen, noodles tasted too much like onion.

Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience here. We saw our waiter twice. Once to order and once to pay. For all you can eat, that doesn’t bode too well. Not that we eat a lot, but I did want a refill on my drink. The food came out cold too. $66 for 2 orders of chicken fried rice, gyoza and 2 drinks. I’ve eaten here in the past and had a much better experience, so hopefully this is not the foreseeable future for the restaurant. Atmosphere is great!

Food was good for all you can eat sushi places. Drinks are expensive, but since food is affordable, it comes out to a nice deal. I like that you can order 1 piece sushi at me time.
