Great treats!! I wish you could stay a while, longer

I'm stuck between a 3-3.5 on this bakery and here is why. After following The Rustic Tart on instagram for a while now, I had high expectations. The establishment was clean, warm and welcoming, and the smell of fresh baked goods was definitely in the air. After disclosing this was my first time here there was a lack of any description on what the bakery is known for or what to order. I went with the lemon meringue pie...I did take this to go. The pie was boxed in cute packaging with a stamped logo and red ribbon, such a cute little touch. After unboxing my awaited dessert, I found this lemon meringue pie to be a cake baked in a pie crust with lemon curd and meringue. It was different in the sense that it's not your average lemon meringue pie. The crust was buttery and flaky; the cake part was dense but not in a bad way. The one thing I would have loved is a thicker layer of lemon curd before the glossy torched meringue topping. Overall, I do look forward on coming back and trying the homemade ice cream next!

I had the lemon cake/pie today, it was heavenly! Hands down the best dessert I have had in a long time!!! I cannot remember exactly what it was called, but I’m obsessed now, and will be going back for a whole one! The owner was great, and I love the store. My boyfriend and I were very pleased overall. He even went back to get another piece of lemon cake to bring home! Thank you so much!

Love! Love! Love! Have not been disappointed with not one thing here! As a matter of fact, our family now goes here for birthday items instead of "cake." Shop is nice. Staff are nice. Tarts and treats are amazing! If there need be something changed, it would be a possible Perks card! Love this place!

Cute and quaint with some wonderful pies to choose from. friendly staff also! Apple pie and pecan bar were perfect for the misses and I. Next time we will add the ala mode. French press coffee hit the spot. Thank you Rustic tart!

We love The Rustic Tart! We're a little biased, because Kim created an amazing pie bar for our wedding, including a stunning key lime PieCasso, but I've never been disappointed in my experiences in the shop or at the Hampton Blvd Farmer's Market. She does sell out of things, so you're not always guaranteed to get the popular seasonal items, but that's part of the fun, because you get to try something new or an old favorite (that pecan bar!!)

My favorite little pie place in Hampton Roads! I love that there's so many different varieties that when you walk in you really don't know what you're going to get. All the little details make this a charming place to sit and enjoy dessert or to take out. I love the little red bow they put on top of the boxes to go. It's stuff like that that makes the dessert feel like a true treat! My favorites are the chocolate chess and carrot cake pies. The crust is just right - it's not too thick and not too thin and there's a very satisfying crunch when you cut through it! Next on my list is definitely the ice cream! I will definitely be back!
This has to be my favorite bakery/sweet shop. I have yet to taste anything from there that wasn't fantastic....and yes, I was a regular for the last couple of years...so I am speaking from experience. My wife and kids have enjoyed each time I've brought treats home from Rustic Tart. I HIGHLY recommend this place!!! Great food and great service too!

The magic of this bakery can not be underestimated. I am not sure about yours, but my Grandma would be impressed. It is obvious to me that these people understand pastry. I have to say, their Lemon pie is the best I have every had. And the apple pie, my gosh it is good. Thumbs up for me.
