Everyone talks about how this place is a staple in Norfolk. Well someone grab the staple remover! The outside looks futuristic and lively. I pass this place on my way to work and I have always wanted to go inside to try them out. Before walking inside there was a sign that said "Breakfast Only", however they advertise as a breakfast and lunch restaurant. When I went inside it was like I walked into an old school diner. We were greeted and sat ourselves. The area where our table was was toward the right of the diner. It had missing tables, wonky booths, and missing tiles on the ceiling exposing the air condition pipes. Booths were not wiped and tables had tape holding it together. Normally, I would not care cause sometimes the crazy the place the better the food. However, I never got around to ordering because everything we asked to order (mind you the very limited breakfast only menu), they did not have--pancakes, waffles, Turkey products, all the way down to the drinks. That's it. That's the review. I wish I could give 0 stars. I highly recommend the owners close and consider doing a revamp of the entire establishment. Maybe all good things should come to an end? 0/10 recommend.

Took awhile to get french toast that was so flatten. My husband had pancakes and those were fluffy compared to the French toast. And the place wasn't busy for the wait. Won't be back

Was eager to try this place as it came highly recommended by a lifelong local resident. Showed up at 10:40 on a Sunday morning (9/18) and was told they weren't taking any more orders for the day. Disappointing.

Iam so glad that this place is coming back the pandemic really caused problems. It is a great community stop where people go and they know who you are. Cheers ?

I really like this place. It's looking a little more rough than it used to but food is always great and people are nice. Kind of takes you back in time when you're there

I wouldn't go back here. They're still in COVID times. Everything is served in styrofoam. They don't give you butter on your toast or your pancakes. They have Walmart containers of maple syrup and dollar store containers of jelly. No waffles. I just feel like they should close down and or reevaluate how they're serving.

Not clean at all. We didn't even eat here. Walked in and walked out. Sticky floor, over turned tables with gum on them. Do a deep clean and we will give the food a chance.

Came here with some friends on a weekend to try and get some brunch. Half of the items on the menu were not available and our food was served to use in to go containers instead of plates or dish ware. The price wasn't too bad but the service was not stellar and the waitress seemed very dismissive and aggravated when I paid my bill (mind you I tipped 25% given the service yet she was acting like I snubbed her). I would likely not eat here again

I really enjoyed this place! Tony's is really hard to miss when driving by but on the inside it's very nostalgic. The staff is super polite, helpful, and friendly. I had the club sandwich which was amazing, will definitely be back to try more of their menu

I visited here twice the first time they had a sign saying no mask no service, I didn't have a mask so I went somewhere else. This time I stopped by for a late breakfast on a rainy day. They advertise take out only but I think you may be able to dine-in, I ordered a Western omelette with grits and toast to go. I noticed while inside there were a lot of things they didn't have on the menu including juice. As I flipped to the lunch menu I was warned that they only had club and BLT sandwiches and breakfast items except waffles. The food came fast and the diner staff seemed to be pretty friendly. The food was what I'd expect from a little tin diner but I do feel it's a bit over priced. Spent $13 on my meal before tipping. Again maybe another time when they're stocked or I go earlier it would be a better experience. I will try it again sometime.

This is really a takeout place now. They are stuck in COVID and not ready to get back to a full-service place. The food was actually very good, but it was served in Takeout containers. At least we had real silverware. It was raining and gloomy, the lighting was subdued not bright. Only open mornings and early afternoon. The light in the men's room was out so I was allowed to use the lady's restroom. Both my wife and I thought the restroom was dirty and needed better cleaning.

Food is good but they are never open when they are supposed to be open. Monday through Friday says open at 7am at 730 they still aren't open. Saturday and Sunday open later still not open when sign says. Why have business hours if you not going to be there.
