This was my first time eating at this place and it was great. For a slow Friday afternoon there were only a few other people who dined at the same time as us. I got the pork belly with steamed white rice and chose the recommended side of kimchi. I got to try a little bite before diving in, as I have never had it before! All 3 in one bite is amazing and what a great taste. The meat was flavorful and the kimchi is tangy with a bit of a kick. Love it! Next time I come I'll have to try their drinks.Parking: We parked in a free public parking lot right around the corner.

If you love Hibachi, you will like Konran.Konran serves mostly Japanese style dishes but not authentic. Simple menu focus on Hibachi. We had Tempura Vegetables for appetizer. Even though the tempura was not your typical tempura from a Japanese restaurant, but it tasted pretty good, the dipping sauce made it even better. I ordered the Pork Belly under House Special. Thinly sliced pork belly meat was seasoned and cooked crispy, it was served with white rice and a side of Mixed Vegetables. The pork belly was delicious and the vegetables were cooked well. I don’t believe that I had anything like it. It was definitely a unique way cooking the pork belly. My mom had a bowl of Shoyu Ramen with Pork. It was the same Pork Belly that I had in my dish. The Ramen and the soup hit the spot, but it was nothing special.The service was worth of mentioning. Our waiter Thomas was very nice.The restaurant was decorated tastefully.Vegetarian options: Soup: other than Miso soup, all other soups and Ramen are meat based soup.Japanese Garden SaladAppetizer: Crab Rangoo and Tempura VegetablesHibachi: four vegetarian options (labeled vegetarian dishes online)Parking: There was a free parking lot about half block from the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu with quite a selection.

Great food and service. It is not a traditional hibachi place where they look in front of you, but they do have hibachi. The bulgogi is good, has some heat/spice to it but not too bad. Recommend the salad, crab Rangoon, soup, bulgogi and hibachi dishes. Would go back!Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and the price and sizes are great for kids.

Konrad got it all right. The food was delicious. They really know how to prepare kimchi and the sauces and meat was delicious. The restaurant was quiet enough to visit and talk. It was a very good evening. The service was excellent.

Food was tasty, had the plum wings VERY delicious, crab rations very good , fries crunch and tasty, their drinks are amazing . the cheesecake wontons are AMAZING I loved them 10/10. And the service was immaculate . You would think because it's in Petersburg it "can't be that good" but indeed it is ! Will be going back with friends again

It was Empty when we arrived because it was a weekday and early so way before the dinner rush. The Food was good. Drinks were good. Nice ambiance. I Would return. Noted- Cash payments are preferred, there is a charge for credit cards.
