“I'm assuming she was ther owner but she was rude af. I've tried bringing kids there multiple times and somehow something always happens to have them closed. Driving 30 mins to be told your closed for hvac isn't your fault but I'm allowed to be irritated by it. Following me outside with an attitude is not ok when I have kids with me. Do better.”
“Food and service are amazing here! The food is always fresh and tasty, and the staff are super friendly! I can't wait to visit again!”
“Great vibe. I didn't expect to be in Norfolk, but glad I made it there.”
“The Sanctuary has amazing tacos! The atmosphere is kind of a bar vibe with additional seating outside. You're given a checklist of taco choices (shells, protein, toppings, sides) that you put your name on and your drink order. The painkiller is fantastic! This was a really great find. We'll definitely be back.

Vegetarian options: The option of black beans for the protein is available.

Parking: Around back there are about 10-15 free spaces. Across from the front door is a paid grass lot that holds another 10-15 spaces.”
“Loved this place. I will return. The food was amazing, and great service.”
“This is the only restaurant in Norfolk we go to. The people are always very nice and the food is always spectacular. If I could eat the cauliflower, pimento and crackers and that burger every day for the rest of my life I could die a happy man. Every time we go the food is always the same, which is hard to have consistent great food with turnover in kitchens. This burger and fingerlings taste the same as it did at the veil brewery 4 years ago. Im happy this restaurant is now a staple in Norfolk and has a place to shine and show other chefs what consistent real thought out flavors with food should be. Its like they have a magic wand of flavors in the back.

Vegetarian options: Im not a vegan or vegetarian by any means but their choices on the menu that I have gotten before should please anyone who should choice them. Specifically the cauliflower. Id almost rather eat that over everything on the menu.

Kid-friendliness: They dont have a kids menu and thats completely fine. Our daughter loved her focaccia bread and butter and pork chop. The conversation in this place between the customer and staff have always been inviting enough for us to bring our kiddo for a nice big girl dinner date for mother days.”
“Wonderful experience. The food was delicious, the staff was very courteous, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Perfect to celebrate our anniversary dinner.”
“Peter and custom food and drinks were amazing!!!Add watermelon to the cucumber gin & tonic!”
