I placed an order online for one of their “specials” which included chicken strips and shrimp, I also ordered mashed potatoes and biscuits on the side. Came to the window and was informed they no longer have shrimp and I have to cancel the order online and there isn’t anything they can do. The woman at the window was very sweet but it they could’ve at least given me my other items

How is this place still in business!! I arrived at this "fast food restaurant" at 4:22 and got my food at 5:10. The speaker doesn't work so you pull up to the window to order...and wait and wait and wait. They had no mac and cheese, no wings, no white meat at all. I wasn't told this until I had already paid for my 8 piece meal. I had to pull up to the front and wait for my chicken to be done even though the drive- thru line was packed. Why is chicken not being dropped!?. Got my food and went home. My whole car smells like old grease now. The chicken was AWFUL and I was missing my biscuits. I should have known what I was in for when I pulled up, see pics. Do not go here!

I have not had church's Texas chicken in over 6 years... And, I'm sure that it's not the same taste that I remember ( maybe I should have gone by to Jefferson Blvd). Well, the intercom was broken, we had to drive around to the window to place order as well as pay. But, it took us about 25 mins waiting in line and couldn't get out of line because cars were behind us. The food was hot, but the chicken had a very fresh taste to it ( lack of salt and seasonings) but once I put my hot sauce on it, it was very tasty. I probably won't go back to this one in Portsmouth again, mainly because it's out my way normally and I don't want to have another disappointment with a restaurant I'm not familiar with... I will leave this one to the locals to enjoy that live in P- Town!

This was the worst Church's Chicken that I have ever tasted. Chicken was not fresh. It was sitting out for a while and just by looking at it, you could that it had been under the heating lights for quite some time. Burnt. Very disappointed! I will cook my own chicken from this day forward.

This isn't the spices or spicy of other fast food fried chicken, but it is pretty good and gets the job done. Crispy and juicy, and my son liked the biscuits.

When I worked at the Naval Hospital years ago this used to be my favorite chicken lunch spot. I was in the area one Saturday and was so excited to finally go again, but I was definitely disappointed. I arrived on a Saturday around 1:30pm. My first red flag should have been there were absolutely no cars in the parking lot. About 4 employees were in the front of the building talking. I pulled around the drive thru where there was a sign that said it wasn't working and to pull up to the window. I pulled up and no one came to the window for about 2 minutes. I placed my order for a 2 piece, fries, and a biscuit. The chicken was beautiful and I couldn't wait to bite it. My first bite was a mouth full of dripping grease! The chicken tasted like it had been refried a few times to keep warm. The fries were cold. All I ate was my biscuit. I can honestly see why the parking lot was empty. I won't be returning
