Service was great and with a smile. Ordered deviled eggs and it had crunchy bits of bacon pieces on top. That was good. Ordered Fried fish dinner. Which was Perfect with no grease but pricey at 20 dollars.Overcharged, but the manager went above and beyond 2 take care of that . Quite impressed with her managerial. enjoy.

I just went to the bar to enjoy a few drinks and appetizers. Everything was mediocre at best. While there was nothing wrong with my fried Brussel sprouts, they were just lackluster. The bartenders were quite young and didn't seem to know what they were doing. I sent my cocktail back and decided to just have wine on the outdoor patio. The view is nice, and the position of the building affords you afternoon shade. I would enjoy a beverage on the patio, but that's about it.

The breakfast is all you can eat but a little price in my opinion. I don't typically eat breakfast so that's my bias but I would recommend walking out of the hotel to other food options for breakfast or dinner. I looked at their online dinner option and it's sparse.I spent $20 for all you can eat breakfast which if I ate more maybe it would be worth it but honestly I don't think it's worth the price. Their options aren't very many but the food is good. Service was stellar.

Huge Let Down! This is my third time visiting this restaurant. First two times was perfect. My mom and I love their Belgium waffles and omelets. Today, March 19th, I visit with my hubby and was so excited for him to experience breakfast at this waterfront restaurant. We get there and there are no waffles and the omelette was watery although our server Shawn requested well done. Shawn gave us exceptional service - but she couldn’t explain to us why they did away with the waffles. She was so embarrassed that our food was so terrible that she didn’t charge us. There was no bacon - we had to wait for it, the French toast was cold as you could see the butter sitting on the bread and the sausage and potatoes was old and cold. I couldn’t for the life of me understand how the breakfast cost $17.95 when there was hardly anything. Very disappointed that this beautiful restaurant has terrible food now. Not sure what happened! Not sure I’ll go back.

Part of restaurant week & it was awful! Awful service! Short staffed - I can understand a delay, but daggone to have to ask for anything multiple times - I'm sorry that's ridiculous!! Do Not order the Ribeye. It was so thin & overcooked almost burnt. If it hadn't been for the company of friends... we would have left before the salad was served! My first meal at the Renaissance & the last.

Had the breakfast buffet while staying at the hotel the Foggy Point Bar & Grill is housed in. Without a doubt, this is the best breakfast buffet at a hotel I've ever encountered! The spread of options was generous and the quality of food matched what I would expect from a quality breakfast cooked-to-order experience. There were scrambled eggs (fresh not from a box), breakfast potatoes, grits, oatmeal and a variety of breakfast meats at one station. Sliced deli meats and cheeses, bagels, biscuits, and toast at another. Yet another had fresh romaine salad, pickled red onions, capers, smoked salmon, tomatoes, and dressing. Meanwhile the kitchen was busy making pre-made breakfast sandwiches with fried eggs, cheese, and meat on a variety of bread. The coffee was even good! The staff were attentive, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone seemed happy to be there and engaged in ensuring that my and my fellow diners' experiences were the best. What am experience it was! Solely because of this breakfast buffet I will ensure my future trips to Portsmouth will be at this hotel!

We were guest at the hotel, beautiful views, clean rooms, nice staff! But back to the restaurant, specifically breakfast, was great! Our waitress Shawn was very pleasant! The buffet style breakfast did not disappoint at all! Everything was fresh, best fruit I've had from anywhere (melons were ripe & sweet, not bland & stale). Pancakes were perfect! Wish we would have eaten dinner, will be back to try!

Staff was friendly but slow. They were apologetic for the issue but My order ticket got lost so it took a while (over an hour for a cheese burger) to get my dinner. Food was decent and beer was ok.

Inside the Renaissance Hotel by Marriott. Hotel is nice; rooms recently renovated. Bar/Grill is a complete catastrophe from start to finish. One of my worst experiences "all time" with a venue associated with the Marriott brand. Just awful! Bar area is filthy and sticky. Staff is apathetic, rude, and untrained. Trust me on this, go somewhere else for drinks/dinner!

The ambience in the lounge is nice - comfortable seating/space, fireplace, water views... But the food choices leave something to be desired, particularly at the bar. The pictures on the menu are not appealing and would love if there were more starters, finger foods...
