My wife was staying in a physical rehabilitation facility in Portsmouth VA and wanted chicken fettuccine alfredo for dinner. We are not from the area so googled places nearby and came up with Amici's/Maria's Italian restaurant. I ordered for pickup the fettuccine dish, 1/2 chopped salad, and full-sized antipasti said. I happened to mention it was my wife's birthday and this was her favorite meal.I ordered it two hours early because of a delay in my arrival and when I arrived on time, our order was waiting for me. The hostess was super nice and helpful, (and attractive).When I opened the order (which was piping hot) back with my wife, the restaurant had written HAPPY BIRTHDAY on the boxes and included a special treat for my wife. She was SUPREMELY BLESSED!If you are looking for a great place that treats customers like royalty deserving the best Italian food, don't go ANYWHERE ELSE!!Can't wait to go back.

The set up of this restaurant is different. It is a pizza Cafe that has a large full bar, live music on certain nights with a quiet area if u rather no music. 4 waitresses who were all waiting on all tables efficiently. The food was excellent.

Will never eat at Mario's restaurant again the place is pleasant to look at but when you are performing there and an unforeseen situation happens that you had no idea about don't look too get paid for your services that was rendered it is true that I was arrested during a show that I was hired for turned out to be a minor situation but never got a return phone call about being paid for the show so don't look for any handouts here at this place have a nice day this is somewhat three years later

This place is the one I like best. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this one I go the most. The crew is very affectionate and the cooking they offer is so yummy. I would always prefer to have a decent meal in this place. Highly recommended.
