Recently my family celebrated Easter Sunday Brunch for the 3rd year!!! As always, the food, atmosphere, and service was excellent! The brunch menu was extensive and delicious. Our waitress was polite, attentive, and very knowledgeable. I’m sure we will be returning next year for our 4th annual Easter Sunday brunch celebration. Keep up the good work. Thanks.

Recently ate at the 1933 Public House. It is an open, airy restaurant with excellent, diverse menu items and great service.

My wife and I decided to share the scallops and salmon platters. The salmon with grits was an excellent choice. The scallops dish was a PHENOMENAL choice. The scallops had the tastiest sear and they were served with an amazing (and quite large) risotto. The topper though was the shareable plate of brussel sprouts served over a sweet potato purée. Unbelievable. We had made a reservation and even though the parking lot was full, we were both seated and served promptly by a very pleasant staff. Well done all around. We will definitely be back.

We had brunch last Sunday at 1933, it was great, service was super and the food was delicious. Plus, it was extremely accessible for the Handicap. We definitely plan to go back again, would highly recommend 1933!!

Pretty little place but quite disorgnized. I ordered shrimp and grits. The shrimp was undercooked and the consistency more like consomme than the creamy dish I expected. The waitress was very attentive but when we finished the meal, the table remained unbussed through desert. Kind of a turn off to see dirty dishes through the desert course. Meanwhile four employees were at the hostess desk socializing with each other.Hopefully this place will get their act together and succeed.

This is a great brunch spot! Our whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I took my dad here for his birthday, and we both loved the food, atmosphere, and service. Erica is the best. She is so warm and welcoming. She really made my dad feel special on his big day. Brunch comes with your choice of a fresh fruit cup or soup of the day and a plate of bread. Said breads were the best, moist, melt in your mouth blueberry scones (2), a raspberry scone, and 2 buttermilk style biscuits with whipped butter. I could eat the blueberry scones every day - they are that good, and I typically don't like scones because they typically are dry. After enjoying the bread items and the fresh fruit, we both had the French toast, which also came with scrambled eggs and bacon. All items were really tasty and good portions. I had to take my French toast home because I was stuffed. I highly recommend stopping by and getting brunch with friends or family.

My steak sucked, and the waitress could’ve been more friendly.

The food was fantastic. It was recommended to us, so we thought we would give it a try. It moved to the top of our favorite restaurants list. It is a 30-minute drive from our house and well worth the drive.

Love the vibe of this place. Atmosphere is fun and a bit upscale. Food is excellent. If we have company in town we always include dinner at 1933.

Adorable little eatery in Powhatan. Food and server were great! I had the crab cakes ( full of crab meat!). Friends got the salmon and burger ( both got a thumbs up). Flatbread also got a thumbs up. The place was full; bar was packed. Overall great vibe. Will be back.

Cynthia and the rest of staff were awesome. Steak was well-executed but lacked flavor. Burger and fries were top-tier.
