I went to FF today with family. My gripe is that their really needs to be someone in the kitchen running QC “quality control”. I ordered the fishers fry combo. The shrimp was great, the crab was great, however the fish was fried so dang hard it should have never been brought out period. I could have complain about it however I get so exhausted having to always do that when I eat at a mid level to upscale restaurant. Also the portions can be a bit better I hope they get this right because with Google being the staple at Reston Station this restaurant poor food display will give it a black eye. I took some food to go for my wife I really hope someone did QC over it because if it’s not good at some point we can’t return. I am big on standards get it together please.

Went for a company outing. Food was not nearly as good as I remember from visiting the Foggy Bottom location.

Food is pretty great but service time and time again is a let down. You can confirm with the waiter something like 5 times and it will still be wrong. Its like talking to a brick wall most of the time. Im not talking about absurd or conceptually difficult requests either. Also a lot of the times I have entered, the people standing at the front are not very welcoming. Overall I think this place COULD be great if only the employees were actually competent. The Tyson’s location is FAR superior

Chicken pot pie was mushy and bland. Chicken was awful, small, and extremely dry. Beef was tasteless. Drinks were fruity and well disguised, was alcohol even added? Had to wait 10 minutes for a glass of water and request it multiple times. Had to request a drink from 3 various servers before it finally arrived. They kept tryin to take our plates before we were done. Ice cream dessert was mostly melted at arrival. Service was slow. Tiny pat of tasteless butter for a good size but boring service of $8 bread. $250 for 4 people. Would not return.

We returned to Founding Farmers because of a very positive experience at the bar (after a disappointing experience at a different restaurant nearby). The restaurant is enormous but more importantly the seating options offer more intimate dining experiences than you’d generally expect in the more modern “packed like sardines in n a can” strategy.Charles, our waiter, was informative and very knowledgeable about the menu. He provided flavor profiles in addition to the contents of the dishes we questioned him on. We were surprised by his recommendations because they were a bit drab compared to some of the menu. The menu was broad covering an array of styles. We had the option to have our market fish of the day served in four different ways (opted for Vera Cruz vs Cuban/Mojito). The Vera Cruz was spot on Charles’ description of both sweet and sour. The artichoke hearts were tender and a perfect flavor addition. The “made in house” gnocchi were excellent and complimented the outer crust and tender flakiness of the walleye. No notes. Not a single thing I’d change about that dish. Excellent! We had pisco sours which weren’t on the menu, but were spot on. We branched out to drinks from the menu and were pleased to discover the coconut old fashioned and 2019 Margarita.Don’t sleep on the cornbread or the ahi tuna bites! We’ll be back soon!

We had an excellent breakfast at this restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience. The farm-to-table concept was fantastic, with each dish made from locally grown, fresh, perfectly cooked ingredients. The coffee was also great, and the service was excellent. The ambiance was perfect and added to our overall unique dining experience. We highly recommend this restaurant for a family breakfast, and we plan on trying the weekend brunch buffet next time.Parking: They offer parking validation for up to 3 hours.

The buffet was a bit pricier than I intended for an early lunch, but we were still able to be seated without a reservation (before 10:30) and enjoy their amazing brunch. Well worth a return someday, though I'd prefer to reserve a table next time.I think the candied bacon skewers were a surprising treat, as was bananas foster with French toast. Everything was great.

brunch buffet is to die for! so delicious. wish i got our servers name (petite, tied curly hair, worked 4/13th at 1-2ish) but she was so observant and automatically knew what we were gonna ask for before we even asked!
