Went in on a Sunday afternoon for takeout to try them out. The restaurant was clean, and the server was very nice. She carefully prepared my burritos and arepas. I liked the corn and flavors in the arepas. Overall , the food was different, and the flavors were fine but mild. Although I prefer Mexican flavors that are much spicier, I thought the food was good.

Would leave a zero star rating if I could.Horrible service as staff do not know the menu or how to prepare nachos appropriately. The nachos were soggy. Question was added on top of pico and guac…soggy chips…Shredded chicken mixed with grilled chicken. Yikes!I threw it away. Waste of money!!!!Churros were not well seasoned and under cooked —doughy.Unable to make/ring up a cheese quesadilla!!!Not worth the money!!!Overall very disappointed. I will not return and do not recommend.

Good food, but of the 3 different taquerias in the restaurant, it is the one with the very high prices.

Food is incredible and the workers were very pleasant! Apparently there's an 85 character limit to reviews, so I'm typing more even though I said what I wanted to say...

3/9/2024 2pmishService: My wife and I entered and walked the food line where two employees were. No one spoke to us. As my wife began to speak Spanish, the staff became more talkative in Spanish. They explained the sauces and allowed us to try the different beverages. It was a completely different energy. But what is everyone else experiencing if they don't speak Spanish?WARNING!!Food: Almost everything looked good. The steak definitely looked dry and was. My wife and I ordered a little of everything to go. (Beef empanadas, chicken and steak arepas, extra sauces, two different juices) The passion fruit juice was really good. The guava juice tasted rancid. My wife and I skipped that. Everything tasted okay. Our dog even got some when my wife dropped a little of her food. Around 9pm to 11pm, my wife started to have bad stomach cramps. She was then in the bathroom multiple times throughout the early morning. I started feeling the same around 430am and I was in and out of the bathroom from 430am to 11am. Our dog, also had the runs the following day lasting up to 5pmish. As of 7:30pm 3/10, I still have not eaten anything today. My wife and dog seem to be fine. But my stomach still hurts and I just feel icky. I have never experienced anything like this before. We will definitely not be returning to this restaurant. In fact, when I feel better I'll probably reach out to them for a refund.

The portion sizes are fit for a toddler. I was charged an extra $2.50 for less than a teaspoon of guacamole. I had to keep ordering “extra” of the condiments. The steak I ordered was 80% rubber and 20% fat. I will never eat from this establishment again

The food was absolutely dreadful! I ordered fish and shrimp tacos, but they were utterly flavorless. Additionally, there was barely any variety—just one taco with fish and another with shrimp, both wrapped in tortillas. Usually, tacos come with extra toppings like shredded cabbage or other additions to enhance the flavor, but these were completely devoid of any extras. The shrimp tasted sickeningly sweet and were practically inedible. The service was also poor; one of the staff behind the counter didn't speak English, which made it difficult to understand that I needed to order via a little kiosk. Despite requesting to dine in, they brought my tacos in a to-go box. I definitely won't be returning.

I tried Maizal for the first time - decided to get lunch to go from there; it's a la carte/pick your own ingredients like Cava and Mezeh Grill, and the ingredient layout and setup is the same as those places. I decided to try the Caraquena arepa and the sweet potato fries; all of the ingredients looked good and fresh, and the staff was nice and friendly. The price is cheap and the food is good for the price; the arepa patty was already made and wasn't super crunchy (but I didn't eat it right away), but it was decent. The brisket was good, and their sauces are good - garlic aioli was tasty and jalapeno sauce was good - not super spicy; the sweet potato fries were good and came with crema, which was nice. I would recommend this place for anyone who likes Latin street food with reasonable prices and is a fan of fast casual.Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian options.

Young girl at the counter was very detached and rude when I asked her to please put the toppings into question that was supposed to be included. Sort of disappointing but it was a Saturday evening so makes sense.

Terrible first impressions stood in line for too long for the few people ahead of me only to be told you only order certain items from this line and others from a separately placed terminal. Slow, disorganized and unhelpful staff compared to other local taco

We've ordered togo twice now almost a month between the visits with both orders placed in person. The main positive, the food does taste really good overall. The problem, the staff is not trained. The first time we had a bit of a communication issue but eventually got everything ordered correctly. On my second visit today, my coworker asked me to get him tacos in addition to my order. Trying to get them to get all the food rang up together was like i started ordering all over again.Misleading marketing: Based on the website, it appears you get two, written in parenthesis (2) before the order, for 3-5 dollars depending on toppings. a more than reasonable price. however both my in person order and a different coworker's online order were prepared as though that is the price per individual taco which see. This company is doing a poor job training their staff as issues don't even seem to be language barriers as much as just pure confusion about what the customer is asking for or having issues with. I paid the difference today because it wasn't worth arguing with someone who can't seem to understand the issue no matter which language you try to use and I didn't know which my coworker would prefer.Minor note, my one areypa today had way too much oil in the bottom so I ended up pouring 2-3 tablespoons of it all over my lap when I turned it to take a bite.
