I'm so happy there's a new place like this in South Lakes! Take the previous review with a grain of salt. We had a great meal and overall great experience! The place was clean, employees were very nice, they were wearing gloves in the back, and actively cleaning the place. The chicken was crispy and super flavorful! The slaw was awesome and the sauces are super yummy, especially the yellow and orange one! The fries were crispy and delicious. Great value! Check this place out and give it a try!

The rice bowl is delicious! I always get an extra tender if I'm feeling really hungry! The 3 sauces they offer on the table are delicious as well. Much better than the Halal brothers in Tysons.

Clean, timely, efficient service with a good price, and very good food. In terms of the ingredients and execution, I have to say the breading, tenderness, flavor, and juiciness of the chicken are all spot on. The only reason I have to ding the chicken is that there's a little too much spice on it, and that the flavor is perhaps a little basic; in that while it is good, the spices seemed to only make it hotter rather than making it more flavorful. The sauces are good, but there's a question as to whether the chicken should be good on its own merits or only with the accompaniment of sauce. I leave that for you to decide. Unfortunately, the fries do not quite hit the mark and are a significant reason for lowering the score. However, I do applaud them for attempting to control quality by only having a few selections on the menu. Likewise, I cannot say exactly for sure what would make this restaurant better, but from my personal opinion, it would be to address my quibbles here in as well as to add a additional element to the fries and chicken to distinguish it from other hot chicken places; in particular, I can see a nutty or lightly sweet element going well with the coleslaw and hot chicken sandwiches. Will probably return. The place warrants a greater 3 stars rating but is not quite 4 stars. Come and see for yourself.

The food is superb! The customer service is awesome! I use to go to another spot and honestly, this spot is almost a daily quick bite. I usually get the medium but if you like it hotter, I salute you lol - I have recommended The Red Bird to everyone I know and I rather take this time to share with you in which I do not. AND they have Coca Cola products! If it’s your first time, I’d say go with the chicken sandwich and fries. Don’t forget the sauces and add on the white cheese macaroni and cheese. Watch you’ll get addicted. Alexis and the rest of the team are so welcoming. Smiles and happiness floats in that place. I love it!

I visited this location a couple of weeks ago and ordered the chicken cheese fries, the two chicken sandwiches with fries, and the toffee cake for dessert. First of all let me say how great the customer service was. Everyone was very nice and as they came out of the kitchen to do their jobs and noticed me, everyone greeted me with a smile and welcomed me. The restaurant was very clean and the menu was interesting. The food was delicious! I'll definitely be back and I highly recommend this business!
