Finally hauled my hindquarters into Billy Pie for a takeout pizza on a snowy night in late January. It was so worth it! Great crust, solid toppings choices (I went with the sausage and smoked mozzarella), and a really nice set of humans working the line. Looking forward to getting in there again, soon!

Not nearly as good as it used to be- the pandemic, inflation, crazy gas prices - I know everyone is feeling the pinch. But when I splurged and decided to get a pie when they were offering their rare pesto pizza, I assumed it would taste mostly the same. And I was SO excited to have a treat I had been looking forward to for weeks! It was - very disappointing. They are obviously using much cheaper ingredients and wow, you can tell. The crust was gummy and tasteless, while the toppings were just… ok. I could have made the exact same pizza with a bag of cheese, jar of pesto & some frozen pizza crust from Kroger. With tip, it’s almost $20 for one very small pizza.I asked for a small side of the red pizza sauce, which I have done many times before. This time they gave me about a tablespoon of puréed canned tomatoes- not canned tomatoes that had been turned into tomato sauce but a small dollop of raw, watery canned tomatoes. Did they think I wouldn’t know?? Why not just tell me they don’t do sides anymore instead just of giving me a raw ingredient?!I hope they figure this out soon and I will definitely be rooting for them because their pizza used to be phenomenal! But, I’m also not in a rush to throw away another $20+ on overpriced and disappointing pizza.

Love their pizza. We usually buy it at Yellow Umbrella Provisions down the street and take it home. One of the best restaurant quality take home pizzas. Easy to heat up. Walked into Billy Pie once and they were busy making pizza for that evening. Check the hours. Nice guys there and I like their pizza a lot.

While the customer service was excellent. The pizza quality fell short of my expectations. 2 pizza pies didn't stay warm enough for a 5 minute ride home, and overall quality was not worth the price.

This is really, really good pizza. Great crust! You can buy the pizzas frozen at several stores in Richmond. It's really the best frozen pizza I've ever had!

Picked up some take home kits and they were great. Excellent beer choices as well.

My wife picked up 2 pizzas last night. We all felt the sauce was bland and under whelming. But the worst part was opening the box and seeing a large section of burnt crust. Now pump your breaks haters, I realize that this can be a common consequence of wood fired pizzas, but this is really unacceptable. At some point, the person putting the pizza in the box needs to ask themselves "Would I serve this to my Mother?" Apparently their answer is "Yes, yes I would!"

Went in tonight for the first time in a while and had a great experience. We got a couple of plain cheese pizzas for the kids, a white ricotta mushroom and sausage for the adults. Kids loved the plain cheese, ricotta mushroom white pizza was awesome. Never had ricotta like that before, super creamy, definitely homemade. Sausage was good, could have had a little more heat maybe. Crust was really good, just the right amount of chew and char. We live close and this is far better than anything else in area.

Pssst... I have a confession to make... I'm not a fan of most pizza. I know it's many folks favorite food, but when my family orders pizza from those "chain pizza places", I'll get the wings and a salad. Frankly, most pizza is just too doughy and yeasty for my taste. And if I eat it, I feel bloated. So when my daughter and her hubby picked up pizza pies from Billy Pie, (they got take out due to the corona virus) I wasn't expecting much. Yet, hallelujah... one bite and I was won over! They ordered three pies, the Classic White pizza, the pepperoni pie, and the sausage with smoked mozzarella pie. This pizza pie flipped my lid! I first tried the white pizza, it was my fav! Super thin bubbly crust, gently charred in some spots. Covered with just the right amount of topping. The crust was sturdy enough to hold the cheese and keep its shape, without flopping, but soft enough to sink your teeth into! It was delish! Do I dare try the pepperoni? This pie was covered in lovely little slices of pepperoni that had a spicy kick and started a party in my mouth. I've never eaten more than one slice of any pizza because the dough is so filling, but this pizza was dough was perfectly thin so you can really taste and appreciate the toppings! Soooo... I went ahead and broke all the rules and tried the sausage! The smoky mozzarella was a wonderful complement crumbled sausage. The toppings on this pie could have been more evenly spread, but it was just as yummy. These rustic Neapolitan style pies with their unique taste and shape have made a pizza lover out of me! We plan on ordering more take out over the weekend! And when life gets back to normal, I'm looking forward to visiting the premises and checking out the inside! I appreciate that the menu is small yet thoughtful and the prices are reasonable. I may just have to eat my way through this menu! The margherita pie and arugula & fennel salad are calling my name! Try it! It's literally the yeast you can do!

We got the margherita pizza. The crust was very thin (which I like) and well baked and the red sauce good. However, there wasn't nearly enough mozzarella or basil.

Not sure who thought it was a good idea to put this pizza in a box and give it to a customer? I've ordered from billy pie before, and it was NOT like this. Also have worked in authentic Neapolitan pizza restaurants so I'm not a novice. Their pies are usually nice. Quality ingredients. This though? A charred pie is unacceptable. You can't even tell it was suppose to be a margherita. This is the type of pizza you put in the trash and remake. Pretty disappointed they thought this was quality enough to send out the door. I'll be ordering from Pupatella when I want a Neapolitan pizza next time.
