Considering this restaurant seats 32 including the bar & outside dining, is staffed by 6, including bartender, manager, 2 servers and 2 prep/shuck cooks in food production (6+ staff overall with no significant hot prep, cook or chef) service is inexplicably slow even with such a limited menu. >>Poor organization & oversight is evident as is a lack of sophistication of service<<. This staff and format should easily be capable of providing a more diverse menu, better service and a reason to mail the postcard provided with the check that includes a 20% gratuity. Dining outside in the arts & road race district however, may be worth the pain.

Party of 3 for lunch, I had the lobster roll, pictured. Roll was decent but the burn chips were nasty and bitter. I ask my waitress about the chips and complained and she says thats how they are with no sort of empathy or would you like something else? Looking at other people’s pictures mine were much darker.Crab dip was tasty and oysters were great. So party of three with an automatic gratuity of 20%. I’m all for tipping well if I feel it’s deserved but to force a 20% on a party of 3 seems uncalled for. An auto gratuity I feel leads to poor service because the server knows that 20% is guaranteed earned or not.Because of these issues I don’t plan on returning.

Great ambiance, fantastic seafood, excellent service. It’s only missing a star because I found the cocktails average in their flavor profile and a bit underwhelming with their presentation. They were still good, though, and considering how wonderful everything else was, I would definitely return. We ordered some raw oysters, shrimp toast, and blue crab dip. Each was excellent- very fresh and high-quality.I can’t remember the names of our drinks, but the menu was different than the ones found here on Google, which causes me to think they rotate their selections. Fun! Overall lovely experience.

Lobster roll isn't close to being a Maine Lobster roll ,for $ 32. There were no meat. Very disappointed. Hot dogs were good. Will not go backParking: Had to go around a few times to find a parking space

Birdie's can do no wrong. This Christmas pop-up is well executed, with nostalgic early 90s catalog layout for the cocktail menu, tinsel and oversized ornaments hanging above, and a tree complete with seafood themed ornaments. Birdie's is elegant but not stuffy, sophisticated but not try-hard, fun and whimsical that yet takes their food seriously. Love it for an intimate date night, a girl's night out, a family gathering - versatile, thoughtful, cozy, memorable, and one of my favorite spots in town.

I had a funny experience. I normally don't go bars... went there with a 'dating' guy, he end up left because of family emergency right after we ordered something. After several sips, I feel I couldn't drive home if I finish the drink...so I want to take it home to enjoy...then after communicating the cute bartender offered me a free hot chocolate and fruit cake....and probably see me left alone, treated me for the drink. I really appreciate it. Just be careful...on the paid parking lot close by, half parking spots are private, only half parking spots with yellow lines belong to the paid parking lot????hope no one's car would be towed away anyway. Probably it's just me... making this stupid mistake. Anyway I had a great experience there, Christmas decorations are cute!

Oof. I hate leaving mediocre reviews for small businesses. But I must share, and maybe for just the fellow elderly-ish (40s+) people with bad knees and poor patience, that the evergreen pop up is over-hyped. One hour wait for hot dogs or crab dip or chips. While the staff is SO sweet and the service is great and the dogs and drinks are pretty darn good, it still boils down to hot dogs after waiting outside for over an hour. Maybe my expectations were too high...

Went here on a weekday night with some friends. Don't even bother coming here if you have more than 2 people without a reservation because you will be WAITING & will end up separating unless you're okay spending way more time waiting in line than in the bar. We ended up having such an uncomfortable experience. We were a group of 6, told it was absolutely impossible to sit together w/o a reservation. So we had 2 friends sitting at the bar & the rest of us were waiting outside. My other 2 friends came before us, so me & my other friend went to the back of the line because we didn't want to cause trouble. But then when my 2 other friends got in their waiter said it would be okay if we came in to sit at their table, so we did & he was totally fine with it but the hostess made a huge scene. She wouldn't let us sit together, so another one of us had to go to the bar. She came up to us & went on about how we shouldn't have done that, butts must be in seats immediately, yada yada. Our waiter said not to worry about it but we separated just to appease her. There was one lady in a large group who'd been waiting longer but hadn't gotten in because her party refused to split up but she threw the biggest fit about us getting in & the hostess agreed with her & got the manager involved and all. They let us stay but the whole time that other lady was giving us the dirtiest look from the outside. If I hadn't already ordered my drink, I would've left, because the vibes were far from holly jolly. My eggnog drink itself was decent, but didn't taste too eggnoggy. The other drink I tried was the hot chocolate one, the coco itself was good but the drink was soo strong it was hard to drink. My other friend ordered the seafood sprinkled deviled eggs & they weren't for me. We drank our drinks as quick as we could & bounced. Thankful I didn't wait in the long but wish we just went home instead.

It seems like a fun place to grab a drink, but not for dinner. Only a few items on the menu and they were expensive. Nothing looked appetizing. We end up went to another restaurant down the street.

Loved the drinks at the Christmas pop-up, but the oysters I ordered were yellow, had many pieces of shell in the middle, weren't purged for grit, and felt like they were decomposing. The Caesar salad is the worst I have every had. The dressing tasted and felt like milk mixed with water; it was a little nauseating. I was really bummed about my experience here. I would recommend if you only go for drinks.

6 of us were there for lunch but Menu was extremely limited; it was different than what was on their website. The lobster roll was good and the oysters tasted fresh. Service was great. My family does not like seafood so they just had cakes. No complaints on what was ordered. Ambiance was setup like Christmas and very festive. I only wish they had more menu choices than what was available.
