Since I've been to the downtown location and had a pretty decent time I decided to try location closer to me. Obviously I pretty much already knew what to expect taco wise, but babe hadn't been so he wanted to try. I have to say my favorite is the shrimp, while his was the shredded beef. All in all, you get what you pay for so... Plus it didn't hurt that the $5 margarita was actually quite good; so for now, this place will stay on my ' local watering holes' list. ☺️$$

A met up with a couple of friends for a weekday dinner and chose Don't Look Back in Forest Hill. We chose a nice table outside (it was rather quiet all around). We just made it in time for some happy hour drinks so we ordered a round of margaritas that did not disappoint. We ordered some chips and dips to start with - I would suggest skipping the quest but definitely get the guac! I ordered the nachos as my entree and they were delicious, overflowing with toppings that all just hit the right spot. Service was excellent, friendly, and quick!

Didn't know this place existed until today and it was really nice. Super chill vibes with good food. My waitress was awesome and checked in on me often, my drinks never ran out before I got another. The tacos were really good... they had corn tortillas and it tasted pretty authentic. Check this place out!

Didn't know this place existed. Happened across it and decided to try it. It is different. Really enjoyed the food. Not a huge selection but what they do, they do well. Enjoyed good drinks, good food, good time!

I had the shrimp taco. The shrimp was well seasoned and tender, garnished with a slaw, sourcream and the other normal condiments. The place was clean and the service was quick. Good experience and can recommend going back.

Met a friend here for a COVID-friendly hangout session. (Vaccinated but not ready for in-door dining.) 3:30 on a Sunday we were the only ones on the patio. The server was very attentive, helpful, and kind. They were running a special for house margaritas (5$) and it was soooo yummy!! The tacos were insane; I got one shrimp and one carnita, both traditional style. So freakin good. Will def be coming back. So: Service: Food: Margarita:

Some of the best eats in RVA, definitely top 3 for Forest Hill. Carnitas tacos are spectacular, but the Frito pie really hits the spot if I'm not crazy hungry, make sure you ask for some of their home made hot sauce (!); their house margarita is great, especially for the price. Great staff, super friendly, I would happily recommend DLB to anyone!

I can't believe I waited so long to try this place! The food is fresh, wholesome and delicious! It's nice that they had several vegetarian options to choose from, none of which were over-salted like you sometimes find with restaurant vegetarian fare. Loved the potato taco! And they participate with Uber Eats, which is handy. This place will become one of my regulars!
