This place is disgusting. It smells like a portapotty inside, picking up from here regularly (never for myself) and it never fails to disappoint. Nobody should eat at a place that is as clearly unsanitary as this one.

The people who run it are very nice and the food was fresh and didn't taste like it had sat there all day. I came in just before closing thinking it wouldn't be great, but it was and I am making this my new Chinese restaurant.

Out of all the places over the years I have eaten from, this is by far the best Chinese fast food in town!! I get it delivered most of the time.

We’ve spent a long time looking for a go to Chinese spot and after having happy family, we finally found it. The food here is by far the best in the entire Richmond area.

We love Happy Family. The food is fresh, delicious, and affordable. I would not choose to sit inside the restaurant and eat, but they are perfect for takeout.

This is hands down the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. Everything tastes oily and old. Fried rice has no flavor. Wonton soup tastes like the oil from the wonton. Sesame chicken is pale and greasy...Waste of time and money...
Reliable Chinese food, not the cleanest. I suggest takeout ?

No complaints about the food - beef lo mein and crab rangoons were delicious, and you get a huge amount of bang for your buck here. It did however take 3-5 minutes for an employee to acknowledge me though; I understand restaurant work is difficult especially when you're behind, but I'd at least like an ETA on my order. What actually compelled me to write this review is the "bathroom" - for the love of all that is good in this world, including your food, PLEASE clean the customer bathroom. It looks straight out of my severely underfunded middle school, down to the mystery substance smeared on the walls and the antisemitic graffiti on the doorstop.

Only place I'd get Chinese food, until now. Gen Tso Ckn had no crisp, just mushy and broccoli had peculiar taste. Veg Lo Mein had little taste and veg tasted 'dirty,' as if they never been washed and there was an entire onion end in it. Czechuan ckn had no taste and no heat as I'd requested. I won't return, $30 is too much to waste.

Ordered shrimp in curry sauce w/white rice, fried dumplings, sfr, and a wonton soup..curry shrimp had like 2.5lbs of onions they were cooked well but no flavor.. curry was watery. If you’re going to give me mad veggies mix it up a lil more . Fried dumplings were left frying on one side way too long. The actual soup was good but the wontons were a lil too chewy only thing they did right was the SFR and if you eff that up can really even call yourself a Chinese restaurant? I spent $35!! including tip smh
