My oxtails was very few with a lot of fat this time. Service was great as always. Still considered the best Jamaican spot in Richmond-my opinion

The first time I went to Jamaica House, it was really good. The second time, I called my order in. My food was okay, but it was mushy. When I went in, it was kind of packed like always, but I thought you didn’t have to be in line to say I’m picking up. They have an order here sign and a pick up here sign on the other side. So I went to the side that says pick up here. I asked the employee that I’m picking up, and he told me that I have to be in line and wait. Why do I have to be in a long line when I’m just picking up and my food is ready? The long wait made me want to walk out, but I won’t ever go back.

First and last time eating here. The food was terrible. I ordered the island fried chicken, they gave me a piece of old, dried fried chicken and tried to cover it up with sauce. It was absolutely disgusting. I wouldn’t even feed that mess to a dog. If this is what you’re serving people I don’t think you should be in food industry.

I miss the old Jamaica House real bad! :’( Such a sore loss. Been eating here since 2016. I come here often to support local but the inconsistency, authenticity and food keeps underwhelming me. It reminds me so much of another restaurant (I won’t mention) that I absolutely despise going to. The recipe here is just not it anymore and honestly I hate to say the only thing they do great is the Sorrel juice. Menu hasn’t changed but the flavor and true Jamaican representation has. There’s even been occurrences where a little extra has been taken on my tip or I’ve been charged twice for one visit. Hope they get it together as this location is really convenient for me. Fingers crossed.

I used to eat here all the time. Back in college when It was across the Siegel Center. The food quality has gone down DRASTICALLY. My rice and peas lacked flavor , the jerk chicken was so average. Made me question if there was even a Jamaican Chef, honestly. I’m not going back! There are other options in RVA that are more fulfilling now. Not sure how the previous Infamos Jamaica House is still in business. Terrible!

I used to love the food but I can't support this business with the constant price increase for seemingly no reason. What used to be a large 6 months ago is now a small entree.

I was very disappointed in my oxtail dinner. The flavors were off on this meal. I got a lot of bones and fat too. There was also a piece of steel wool fiber in my meal. The beef patty was good.

The food is horrible I ordered jerk chicken also ordered oxtails the food was pre-packed and was not fresh it was like they fixed the meals in advance and wait for people to order them the rice was mushy and gummy the cabbage was half done and when I called back to complain they put me on hold because they didn't want to answer to the horrible food that they are never again will I order from there should buy food from them
