Let me say this, if you are looking for authentic Jamaican food with great flavor, DON'T GO HERE! I got the jerk chicken with cabbage and yams and my husband got the jerk and oxtail combo, the seasoning was not present. The jerk chicken, which consited of 3 wingettes swimming in brown water trying to pass as gravy. The cabbage was soft and bland as well as the yams. On to the oxtails, they were NOT tender nor were they seasoned. He also had the greens which tasted like they came out a "great value" can. As you can see, the theme is UNSEASONED FOOD. We decided to ask for a refund and the guy (I'm guessing the owner), asked what was wrong and when we told him, his response was "I don't get any complaints". Ok Sir. This place was such a disappointment for a "Jamaican" spot. I'm sure you could find any other place to get much better Jamaican food, TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

ZERO stars food was disgusting!! Don't waste your money.Ordered brown stewed chicken, Cabbage and rice & gravy, the chicken tasted like pepper steak contained green peppers and onions. Cabbage tastes like Vinegar waste of my money 15.00 in trash. Threw the whole thing away! The counter person was nice though

I came there at 11:30 to get food because your website says open but when i walked up the gentleman walked away to the back after he saw me walk up. I saw the beef patties and the hot box ready. But he said he wasn't open yet. Very disappointed. I am Truly hoping this wasn't a race thing being that I am white wanting jamiacan food. I just enjoy the food being that alot of my friends are jamaican and i eat their food often. ??.

I got food poisoning from this establishment and I've been sick for 2 days now. The greens tasted like Glory greens with added spices that I could not get down (and I am not one to waste food) so I threw those away. The cabbage was actually pretty good but what took me down was the curry goat! Everything was piping hot except for the goat. It was barely room temperature. I think it had spoiled and what made me sick. It was spicy and flavorful going down but I am still paying for it. No more mall food for me!!

Yes you read that right! – We’re talking ZERO flavor.Then, there's the rice, & beans. They were, lacking in seasoning and also super dry.Let me not forget about the greens. My 8th grade lunch Lady made better greens.Sadly, I can't say this place is a go-to for real Jamaican food vibes.Seriously the owner(s) should be ashamed of themselves for presenting this to the public.For a taste that's more legit, you might wanna check out Ire Ting in Richmond – they know how to bring the Jamaican flavors to life!It’s not like Jamaican D’s in Philly, but it’s the best we’ve had in RVA.

Just close this place down!!! The food was disgusting. I ordered curry chicken with rice and peas and cabbage $17.50 you know what I got? 4 freaking Wingdings!! The rice taste like minute rice that was cooked for 10min..cabbage was soft and nasty, no flavor whatsoever! This is not authentic Jamaican food and they ought to be ashamed of themselves for serving this mess.. Carena’s, Queens, Irie Ting WOULD NEVA serve this! I would give my money to one of the Asian spots in the mall before they get another penny from me.. no love is being cooked into their food they just threw some mess together and set it out to be sold!! Try supporting black businesses and this is the mess you get!! Overpriced nasty food!! The picture was taken up close… but please DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
