We ate here tonight after reading a four month old thread on Reddit about best Mexican in RVA. La Dona was mentioned by most people on the thread. So I thought, yes, I want to try this. I'm not an expert on Mexican food, but I eat a fair amount of the typical stuff you can always get. But I am a very good cook, and I know very good cooking, and this is it. I went to La Dona Cocina Mexicana today with my sister. One of the best meals I've had! We had one if the corn appetizers, diablo guacamole (it had us sweatin'), enchiladas, quesedilla fritas, fried plantains, and Tres Leche cake. The restaurant is so cute, clean, the staff was nice, and absolutely delicious!!
