We absolutely loved the food here. The shrimp tostadas were a favorite. The tortilla chips were amazing and probably better than any we’ve ever had. Just get whatever they suggest - you can’t go wrong! The staff were also friendly and welcoming.

Hands down the best place for Mexican food in Richmond. Menu is a bit pricey but all the ingredients are fresh and the food is amazing so it's well worth it.

Really good and authentic. Negative reviews are by Americans expecting a chain restaurant experience.

So disappointed with the food and service. The waitress cleaned the tables by wiping the food onto the floor. Food was not swept off the floor. No service at the table. Place the order at a counter. Only counter employee spoke English. We had to wait to place our order with her. The majority of the menu is in Spanish primarily.

Oof. The positive reviews here are confounding. On our recent visit, we experienced long wait times (35 mins despite few patrons), and some of the most nondescript and flavorless food I’ve ever encountered. A shockingly bland sope, a burrito overstuffed with black beans and little else, vegetarian “fajitas” that were nothing more than a pile of green peppers and only a stingy two tortillas, and an inexplicable bowl of soggy French fries with a long black hair atop. For the high price, you’d expect gourmet. This wasn’t even pedestrian. The small marketplace has a lot of natural and authentic charm. If only the food had a fraction of the same.

We waited almost an hour for a chicken cake and 3 tacos and we were only the third table. We ordered the cake without mayonnaise and after waiting so long the order came out with mayonnaise.I tell the girl that we were clear about placing the order and she tells me that they are going to make us a new one.We sat down and they brought it to the table, the chicken and lettuce still had the mayonnaise smeared on it.You can tell that they put something on the bread to make it look like it was something else. A $14 cake is supposed to be made right, at least if they make a mistake it's to fix it without trying to deceive you. It was disrespectful to think that we weren't going to notice. Not even if it was at a relative's house, we paid with dollars the same as whoever wants another.

The food used to be so good. Now the tacos are not edible, grisel and fat in every bite, and the tortillas have gone down hill. They began mopping while the restaurant was full and all you could smell/taste was cleaning solution. I used to go here often but I won't ever go back. ? ? ? Bad experience for $45 (2 people)

Went today for the first time and let me tell you, it is only the first of *many* future visits. Excellent authentic food; I read in the Richmond Times Dispatch they grow many of their own ingredients and it absolutely shows. Quality is stellar for reasonable price! If you’re looking for incredible mexican street food, this is THE place.
