My go to place for NY style pizza (and I grew up in NYC). Great neighborhood atmosphere, a seasoned staff who actually talk to you and are interesting, and a cozy, non-pretentious atmosphere, just like in the old neighborhood in NYC. The pizza is just right... thin crust, lots of mozzarella, light sauce. Get the pie, not the re-heated slice.

We have lived in Richmond for over 30 years and somehow we have missed this fantastic restaurant. We were on Cary Street and wanted a quick, easy dinner and someone recommended Mary Angela's.The food and service were both incredible. I can't recommend it enough. I'd give it a ten if possible.

It has been years since I've gotten pizza here but I remember I loved it. After spending two hours at HR Block we practically sprinted across the street. I got an x large pepperoni. It was huge. I usually go for a lot of toppings but figured I could add at home. Ended up adding nothing. I told my wife that I could eat this pizza with just cheese. She got a gluten free pepperoni. She said it was the best she ever had. Also the largest and cheapest. It was 8 large slices for about 14 bucks. It will not be years before we go back.Dietary restrictions: Gluten freeKid-friendliness: Limited seating area but several families.

I was really excited to try this place based on the great reviews- but when we got there, they were so busy doing online or call in orders - that it took forever to wait on us, then when we did order a pizza-(it took 45 minutes to get) it was very over cooked & I ordered a Sub to go (for work) & they forgot to make it. So needless to say, we were not impressed ?

Long story short: Best pizza in Virginia!!! Italian style, fresh ingredients and fluffy dough! A must go to for pizza lover. We tried the Mediterranean and buffalo chicken pizza, and both of them were out of this world! #OMARating: 100/10!!!

The food here is amazing. It has an authentic vibe to it. It's a family oriented business, so every ounce of service provided is done with care and concern for the customer.Kid-friendliness: Family oriented.Wheelchair accessibility: Its a very small restaurant, however, I'm positive that they are accommodating to everyone.

What can I say about this place that hasn't already been said. This is my go to spot for pizza and subs. I went yesterday by myself, and the server was fantastic. Food came out quick but gave me enough time to eat everything! I just love this place. Get a cannoli, and you wont regret it. Thank you guys for being my favorite RVA spot.

In a city that is pizza rich, to truly stand out, what can a slice slinging spot offer? You might think great deals on ice cold pitchers of your dad's favorite brew or the primo real estate are the deciding factors, but actually it's the service. While the place does have the aforementioned, as well as masterfully crafted pizza, the beautiful people behind the counters and in the kitchen make it stand out. There hasn't been a time I've regretted poking my head in, especially on the nights Max is working the floor. Max is like an octopus mixed with an elephant; ever remembering and ubiquitous in his coverage. A local legend for sure. The pizza is perfectly textured, the toppings you choose are generously laid and the sauce/cheese between it all is exactly right. Salads are fresh, beverages are cold and the desserts are decadent. If you haven't, try the limoncello cake.

I will start off first with the grilled chicken salad it was magnificent, I ordered the lasagna and my husband had the spaghetti with garlic bread. I will say the food is fresh and delicious seasoned to perfection, Customer Service was excellent from the time we entered the door until we left our waiter even packed our dinner plate of food up himself which I have never in my life experienced when going to a restaurant with that being said we will always come here for pasta and pizza great atmosphere and very clean.??⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️???

We stopped by one night after dropping our dog off at the emergency vet across the street. It was fairly late, and we were hungry and a little distraught. We were greeted with a big smile by our waitress. After looking over the menu, we got an order of cheese garlic bread, salad, calzone, and slice of pizza. We didn't care for the garlic bread. It was way undercooked . They just took a sub roll, put some cheese in between with some garlic butter, and heated it up for a few mins. The cheese wasn't fully melted or crispy on top. It seemed it was put together really quickly. That was the only bad thing, though. The meat lovers slice was great! Lots of meat, thinner crust that was super crispy, which is my favorite. My wife really liked her calzone and was really excited that they put the sauce in the calzone. She says that only Giovanni's and MA here do it. I liked the pizza so much I came back 2 days later for lunch and got the same THING. Not a hugh place. Very mom and pop-ish. It's been here forever, which is a good sign. Will make this a regular stop!
