We frequently go here prior to attending the Richmond Symphony. The food is always a delicious and unique version of Mexican style cuisine and the margarita is superb consisting of fresh ingredients. Last night was especially enjoyable as a result of our waiter, Jamal. He was attentive and efficient but too our amazement he even offered us his on street parking spot when we expressed our concern over where we had previously parked. I highly recommend this restaurant and hope you will be able to have Jamal as your waiter.

Great service and friendly atmosphere. We had a group of 9 and were quickly accommodated by Jamell. My party was very satisfied with the quality and care.

Great veggie options, especially the vegetable fajita! Reasonable prices and friendly service. It is a bit on the loud side though.Vegetarian options: Farmhouse tacos and vegetable fajita were excellent.

This is one of my favorites downtown. The interior is so fun and comfortable with the bar to the side that keeps the noise level down. The food is always delicious and inspired. My family loves the brunch menu and my husband and I have sampled every taco at the bar at one time or another. You just can’t go wrong here. The service has at times felt a little off but I think that has more to do with pandemic restrictions than anything else.

I have been lucky enough to dine at many excellent places. This one doesn't even get to the meh level. Our server was pleasant and friendly but that's where it ended. A bar tender that could not make a neat Gray Goose martini. Sent it back 3 times. The first one was pink for some reason. The second one was lemon flavored, the third was so watered down as to be tasteless except for the 3 shriveled olives. I ordered it neat. When the bar tinder brought the second one she was harsh, rude, complained that she was busy, blah, blah, blah. My advice to her would be to go back to McDonald's where she will not be so stressed. The food was cold and bland. Not worth a second visit.

We were told that this was THE spot by the Locals. A small plate experience but with LARGE flavor. I'm still blown away. It was one of the best spots we have been to in a LONG time. SO MUCH FLAVOR! Best stop since we left SC!

Stopped in after a performance at Rhythm Hall across the street. Sat a the bar. Casey, the bartender, was so friendly. We got a couple of specialty drinks. I had the Costa Maya. Quiet good. Turns out Casey concocted it. We had lamb sliders and shrimp coconut tacos. Delicious. All the staff were upbeat and friendly, particularly that we came in close to closing time. Will definitely go back.

First time visit prior to a Pat Metheny concert at the National. I had the chicken enchilada with molli sauce and my wife had the coconut shrimp tacos. Service was very friendly but a bit slow, they needed another sever. Food was good and well prepared. Margaritas were fantastic.

We had high hopes, but were sadly disappointed. We had reservations for 6:15 and got seated promptly. Our server came over and brought water and gave us a minute to look at the drink menu. We ordered our drinks and this is where things started the downward slide. We waited almost 15 minutes until we got our drinks. We ordered the ceviche ($15) and were disappointed upon arrival. It was not a large portion but there was very little distinguishable fish in it with no shrimp and a couple of small calamari rings. It was also impossibly salty. We ate it but did not enjoy it. The drinks were good but our second round was made wrong and not what we ordered (to the server’s credit she didn’t charge us for them) When our entrees arrived, they were both EXTREMELY salty. My partner ordered the shrimp and scallop tamale ($29) and got 3 shrimp and two scallops (not large ones) which did not feel like a good value. I had the chicken enchiladas verde ( $15) which were unremarkable, and overly salty. It may have been an “off night” but we won’t be going back. The quality does not justify the pricing.

A clean & inviting atmosphere. Wait time was a little longer than I’d expect for the amount of customers dining at the same time. My chips & guacamole tasted fresh & delicious, the ceviche was the perfect amount of citrus & spice, and the tres leches cake did not disappoint.Parking: I had to pay for street parking & there is also an option across the street for a public parking lot.

I've been eating my way around Richmond while my husband is in the local hospital. I passed this place on the way to a different restaurant which was closed, so I came back because this was the only one open. I'm glad that I tried it. I had the chipotle bourbon tacos, the lamb sliders, and a mango mojito. I enjoyed everything. The steak was cooked perfectly. Prices and portions are comparable to places that I've dined at in Washington, D.C.

A friend treated me to dinner for my birthday. The atmosphere is great and the food was delicious. We had the best waiter that made our celebration all the better. I would highly recommend this restaurant. P.S. great margaritas.

Second time dining here and it will stay in the rotation. With a party of 8, each dish came out and everyone literally stated how good the food was. The drinks were just as great. From the margaritas to the mixed drinks. Branched out and tried a different pairing with the guacamole and it really worked. Everything on the menu is flavorful and compliments the other ingredients. Also as a side note, our server was hustling. We went here while they were obviously short staffed. But you couldn't tell by the service we got. Either way, if they're short staffed, please be patient with them. The food is well worth it.
