Food is really, really good. The atmosphere is pretty cool. There is a themed Plan 9 Music wall. Avoid the trivia nights, it gets really loud like some kind of bizarre indoor cattle auction. Service staff definitely partakes of some kind of mushrooms and herbs, baby. When the host in the hot pants takes you to the table he assigned you, you are in for a wait. Then when your server finally comes to you, you put in your order. Your food takes a long while and when it gets there they are ready to give you a box and get you the hell out of there. Matter of fact getting you the box and getting you out of the restaurant is the only sense of urgency you will see there.

Mellow Mushroom may be my favorite pizza of all time! Patrons will be greeted by an eclectic and vibrant interior, not to mention the friendly and welcoming staff. The menu is full of options, but the star of the show is the Holy Shiitake pizza. Every time I come with a large enough group, we order something else as well as the Holy Shiitake, but I always regret not just ordering only the Holy Shiitake. It's unlike any other pizza I've had before, and one to remember! If you find yourself in Carytown for one meal, I would highly recommend this one!

We had a large party but were accomadeted quickly. We had a great server who was very attentive, and our food was delicious. We chose Mellow Mushroom because our family has many dietary needs, including vegans,vegetarians, and family members with gluten allergies. They were very mindful with our gluten-free requests. They have a large menu with reasonable prices.

I’ve been to many mellow mushrooms around the US but this one is definitely in my top 3. The atmosphere was great and the food was even better! Our server Sean took great care of us and made sure we got everything we needed! Definitely coming back soon.

DO NOT get their buffalo chicken dip. It has the texture of toothpaste, has NO chicken, and isn't hot like Buffalo sauce. It is nothing like the name says it is. Never going to order it again.
