My date and I decided on the newest ML Steak location in the Chesterfield Town Center on a rainy, romantic Wednesday evening. These guys absolutely hit it out of the park. We sat at the bar where we were promptly served by our bartender Tom. We could not have been given better service: Tom explained the menu with both detail and passion to the point we were nearly hypnotized at the end. It’s the kind of professional level service that you rarely see anymore but we experienced it here. Tom would even transfer Felicia’s beer into a frosty pint glass if it were sitting too long. These little details truly make the difference. I ordered the Beast Burger and I may have had a better burger in my life but nothing comes to mind right now because this thing was a juicy culinary masterpiece of bison and boar meat. Felicia gave me some of her fried smoke half chicken and it was equally amazing. Chicken smoked in house and given a special blend of spices. We couldn’t have been happier with the total dining experience here at ML Steak, including the ambiance. It’s the type of restaurant experience that has become rare today but needs to be experienced and celebrated. Bravo! We will be back!

I rarely post poor reviews, so this is hard for me to write.I had very high hopes for this restaurant. We sat at the bar to eat. It was not busy when we were there. There were two bartenders working. They were talking and looking at their phones while we just sat there. After nearly 10 minutes, one of the bartenders s set down waters in front of us, without speaking a word, and walked away. After a bit, we were talking about leaving and finding another restaurant l, she came and gave us menus and asked what we wanted to drink before even giving us a chance to look at the drink menu. We wanted to order some of their specialty cocktails, but we didn't dare have her walk away because we didn't know when we would see her again.We ordered a steak and smoked chicken. The chicken was extremely salty. The crust would have been devine if it had about half the salt.My husband ordered his steak medium rare. It came put very rare and was cold in the middle. They were willing to put it back on the grill for him, but honestly, we were over the restaurant at that point. The steak had little flavor.For this awful service, we were charged 20%. The best thing management at this restaurant could do is take the automatic tip off. It would cause the servers to actually work to support your patrons.I had high hopes, but I would recommend you run from this restaurant.

**this review is for the Chesterfield location, but it has yet to show up in GoogleOn Saturday, March 23, my husband and I took my mother to dinner at ML Steak. Our reservation was for 515 and we arrived at 510. The hosts were frazzled, despite it not being very busy and you could tell that the owner was unhappy about where the host sat the previous table. I'm guessing it was our table, so we were asked to go hang at the bar for a few minutes while they figure it out. Luckily, just a few minutes at the bar, and we were ushered to our table.Our waitress came by fairly quickly to get our drink order, but then it took 20 minutes to get 2 waters, an unsweetened tea, and a martini. The martini sat at the bar for 15 of those 20 minutes and was no longer cold when I received it. When the tea and water came, I was served sweetened tea instead of unsweetened. So another wait and finally tea. During this time our waitress went to the table next to us and asked to take their order and they let her know that she had already taken it.So we order food when she comes back. One filet medium rare, cesar salad, one filet no butter, no seasoning (explained to her that my mother has a garlic and onion allergy), asparagus no sauce, one prime rib, a salad, and 2 glasses of wine. The wine took at least 15 minutes to get to the table and 30 minutes after ordering (we think the waitress forgot to order our food based on observation), we're informed that they are out of prime rib. So we ask for the 3 filet medallions. Another half hour and our food comes out, but it's wrong. The medallions were missing, the butter and seasoning were on my mother's steak, and there was a random filet that we didn't order ( separate from mine). Another 15 minutes and the medallions come out. Another 15 and my mom finally gets a filet with no seasoning and no butter. The food was good enough.During this time we talked to two managers and the owner (who admitted that the service was awful) and the only compensation was a free glass of wine for my mom. I realize they just opened and the wait staff is brand new, but I do not think it was fair to be forced to pay a 20% tip that's included in the bill for service that does not deserve it. I hope they succeed as I'd love to not go downtown for a decent steak, but I won't be back for a long while.

This was the best experience I've had in Richmond in a long time , The food is ready good my service was top notch the atmosphere exactly what I was looking for my bartender (lafire) is very nice and helpful with the menu this will be my go to place and thanks for bringing this new Restaurant experience to our area? Over priced BBQ restaurant attempting to be a high end steak house.Service was slow (nice people but the guaranted 20% tip removed motivation for good service), steak tasted over fibrous (like it was frozen), service was non attentive, gnats kept intruding on out table.Music was more of a dance club vibe-- and super hard to have dinner conversation.The lobster Mac and chesse was the best part of our $180 check.

Buckheads has some serious competition. First time visiting this place. Food was phenomenal. Good inventive drink menu and they had Japanese whiskey. 3 of us ordered the filet and another got the smoked chicken. Also had the roasted cauliflower and bao buns. Everything was excellent. I want to go back but now I'm worried there's no way it will be that good again. Highly recommend.
It is pricey but the tip is included in your bill, the food was great, menu was small but the food was delicious and the items in the menu will hit everyone’s pallet of taste, if street parking is not available it is a parking garage 3 mins away and parking was 8$, overall my wife loved it and I did to, the music, food and ambiance was great

I went here for my birthday I enjoyed the customer service and the food was excellent. I had the fillet and it was like butter, it taste so good that I will be returning here very soon. This is a highly recommended restaurant if you’re in Richmond or visiting from out of state. Next time I will take photos to share the experience.
