I had order for myself chicken the chicken was ok the yams was decent and Mac and cheese was nasty and plain . My mom catfish taste burn her Mac and cheese was nasty same as mines and yams she did like . But how do I rate them a 0 for food but 10 for customer service .The cook did fry fish in burn oil and same oil she use for chicken . Switch up the noddles you guys use for Mac and cheese . I always wanted try this place was highly upset of the tasting of the food !

Chicken wings and fish was cooked in burnt grease. I am assuming it was cooked in the same grease. Mac n cheese was dry and tasted as if it was cooked days before. Yams were okay , and the banana pudding was good it was the best part of my meal. The environment is nice and guy at the cash register was friendly.

Service is amazing. But I think I went on a bad day. My yams tasted straight out the can. Definitely not her usual yams. I wanted pork chops but they were out so I got the ribs. Now the ribs were amazing. Tender and seasoned to perfection. I also got the green beans and again it wasn't what I'm used to getting from her. I'm gonna just chalk this up to a bad day. Will I go again, hell yeah!

I am visiting Richmond and several p told to try Ms Girlee's and I am so glad I did. The food was great and and delicious. The combo seafood platter was more food the I good at one time. The Mac & cheese was old of this world. I will be coming back for sure.

I hate to write a negative review but this food was not good. The potato salad was basically potato and mayo with a little sugar. The yams had no cinnamon or nutmeg nor butter. I did taste a little sugar but tasted like they were doctored up can yams. The greens had no vinager or salt or very little. This was definitely not worth what I paid The chicken wings were seasoned well and had a light crust. The cornbread was sweet but good. That was my first and last visit.

That was damn delicious! The pound cake was moist and perfectly sweet. The macaroni and cheese-Chef’s Kiss. Yams-sweetened perfectly. I ordered the Government Combo (included six fried shrimp, four pieces of fish, and two while n wings) and added hush puppies. The hush puppies have to be my favorite part of the meal. Okay first time trying itThis food is for old people I’m sorry no seasoning.The turkey wings over cook! Omg the worst smothered turkey wings I ever had. I also was sad that I didn’t see any rice automatically Serve with this turkey wings. I would have got some but the food nasty ,so it was a waste of money anyways ! Every bite you take is an onion they give you plenty of onions on topThe only good thing was the macaroni

Love to support black owned businesses! The service was the highlight of this visit. Good vibes and good people that stand behind what they are doing. Food was good, tasted just like some good ole southern cookin. I ordered the fish and shrimp basket, with candied yams and Mac and cheese. Oh and also had the strawberry cheesecake banana pudding. Would give them a solid 7/10. I'll return for sure.

Five Stars for sure. I visited this established because of the reviews and I can for sure say that I wasn't upset at all. The food was excellent and service was exceptional. In addition the place was clean and customer service was very welcoming. Hands down I will definitely will come back when I am in the Richmond area again for sure.
