One of the first vegan spots I tried in Richmond. I always get the "Mac n cheese" and yams and am never disappointed. It's never been busy inside when we've eaten inside but lots of to-go orders. Could be a little cleaner at the tables or people could just clean after themselves lol

Everything is amazing. I take vegans and non-vegans alike here and everyone leaves happy. I especially loved the “chicken” and collard greens. Tasted like my grandma’s greens and she used ham!

Honestly, Nuvegan has just lost the spice it use too. I use to enjoy going and getting great vegan food, now the environment just isn't as inviting, and the prices are astronomical. This most recent time, the Mac and cheese and the chicken was harder/crispier then normal, it just doesn't feel as if they put the effort they use too. I loved NuVegan, but just can't do it anymore. Isn't really what it used to be. Still amazing food, just not the same restaurant.

I had a jerk chicken sandwich, curry tofu and collard greens and all of it was super flavorful and delicious. Good prices and portions too. Staff was also super friendly.

Love Nu Vegan but would like it more if the food did not come with an attitude. The female server with locks had a short attitude with us while serving, wiped her nose on her wrist while serving, and refused to put our additional items in a bag. Please work on better customer service to keep your loyal customers. April 13, 2024 at 2:00pm.

Go early to get the best selection. By evening, veggie selection is sparces. Should add a vegetable plate option.

SO GOOD! Normally I hate collard greens but boy were those tasty. Everything was excellent from the chicken to the Mac n cheese to the cheesecake. Staff was helpful, loved the vibes, and such good vegan food. Highly recommend!

I got the burger and thought it was delicious!! It didn't taste like a premade beyond burger.. The red velvet cake was so yummy too! This is a great stop for travelers trying to find a quick on and off full vegan restaurant.. like myself

The Richmond location has gone downhill. I have visited this location a total of 3 times in as many weeks. Went on Super Bowl Sunday and they were already out of drummies by noon. Went again a week later they were out of drummies again and half the menu. Went again on 3/3 around noon and a sign was posted on the door close at 3, will reopen Monday. I won’t be wasting my time to go again

I always want to be fair with reviews. The staff was not very friendly on my last visit two days ago. I wasn't greeted at all. I asked the young lady at the counter a question about the "Chicken Drummies" and she seemed so annoyed. She rolled her eyes as I was picking my two sides. I just hurried up and picked anything to avoid the hostility. If you're having a bad day stay home. It should not be a burden to help customers. The food was good. However, with service like that I won't be back.

I visited for the first time on today, traveling from Fayetteville, NC. Newport News, through Richmond. I googled vegan restaurants and NuVegan was closest to us via Grace Street. I have been vegetarian/pescatarian for 7+ years. I is the BEST vegan food I have tasted. The seasoning is to perfection. The vegan fried chicken, OMG. The collards and cabbage, curry chicken, absolutely DELICIOUS ?. The next time I am near Grace Street, definitely going to Nuvegan.

First off, the customer service is one of the worst experiences I've ever had. I almost walked out due to the servers rubeness but I decided to eat there because it's one of the only vegan options in Richmond. The server was very rude and had an attitude problem. She was not helpful for a first timer and actually aggravated that I asked a few questions. She seemed to hate her job and possibly life. The food was okay, Didn't taste fresh. Hopefully they can fix the customer service problem because no one deserves to be treated like the way I did.

I stopped in here when I first moved to Richmond. Got some kind of BBQ plate with a couple sides. The sides were great. I devoured quite a bit of those before I even started on the BBQ 'meat'. Then I discovered it was basically half a pound of protein with my name on it. I did not feel the need to eat dinner that day. Food and service are great here. I will certainly come back again. Hopefully with a friend to divvy up the food with! The only place I'd see room for improvement is the vibe of the place is kind of awkward. It's like half juice bar half vape store kind of atmosphere. I don't know why but it's just slightly kind of seedy? I'd not take someone on a first date here, 3rd or 4th date for sure. I don't know, maybe get some plants or something to make it more cozy. Also, everytime I stop in they are out of whatever I want and I have to settle for something else. Though this could be a function of my eating lunch at 2pm on most days.
