Oh man, it’s been too long since I visited Pegasus! My wife and I visited last night for Valentine’s Day and both asked, “Why haven’t we been here in years!?”Amazing Greek food, steaks, and great wine choices - with a very friendly staff that makes sure you want for nothing. I suspect Pegasus relies on word of mouth- the place was hopping - but Richmonders need to know this little unassuming place is a treasure.

My wife and two of our friends try to go every Friday night. I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad meal. Everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. The atmosphere is nice, seems everyone is enjoying themselves.

Hands down the best of EVERYTHING on the Menu. One of my most favorites though is the Liver Special once a Month. The very succulent sauce of onions carmelized is too die for!!! My second favorite is the Flounder and the Greek Green Beans and Salads!!!

We spent over 2 hours waiting for our food to arrive. I saw numerous people arrive after us who were served and left before we received our food. The appetizer was good but my main entry of Chicken was nothing special. After 3 hours we received our bill and received an apology for the very slow service. For a $100 meal for 2 people which included 2 alcohol drinks and no appetizer it was very disappointing.

Hadn't been in forever. I had to try the Medusa Martini. A quite delicious craft cocktail with vodka, Campari and blood orange juice. My dining partner had a Greek white wine unfamiliar to me (the name escapes me). The thing I love about this place is how you get a variety of foods included with the meal: a small salad, Greek green beans, cottage potatoes or baked potato. That little Caesar salad was amazing. A spin on the classic, using artisanal lettuces. Great dressing. Nice touch with the anchovies. Just a few croutons, which I prefer. We chose the filet of flounder and softshell crabs. The flounder was cooked to perfection, as were the softshell crabs. The Greek green beans were the best I've ever had. The baked potato was amazing: cooked through with a soft skin. The maitre d was quite cordial. Hadnt seen her in forever, yet she remembered me. Our waiter was very professional and polite. Great staff overall. A Richmond treasure.

Saw the reviews and thought this would be a great place to eat, but we were dissapointed. I asked for a medium well steak, but it was well done and bland. The shrimp in the alfredo was overcooked and dry. Maybe the kitchen staff had a bad night. The place is very nice inside and our waitress was friendly, but I don't like to waste money on food, so I won't be returning.

A great option for classic Italian/Mediterranean based food. Been meaning to stop for some time now, and finally made it. The calamari app was cooked well and nicely tender. The seared tuna special was delicious served with a perfectly al dente linguine with super flavorful aromatic tomato garlic and olive topping. The Mediterranean pasta was excellent. Again pasta was perfectly cooked with lots of flavorful ingredients. The house salads are well dressed and fresh and tasty. The house vinegrette and feta was a ⭐. The creme brulee was rich creamy and left in you wanting to scrape out the dish! The staff was super friendly and the place was packed. They are busy but I felt sufficiently attentive. I think is nice that they are not over attentive and let you enjoy your meal in peace. If you are a bit on the pretentious side and don't want to flag someone down if you need something 'immediately' I can see how you might feel put out. Just chill, this is clearly a casual and family oriented atmosphere!Wine list is good, and more reasonably priced than most. Bar area for you to wait in or if you are dining alone or just need a drink and eating lite or want to socialize before or after dinner.Small parking area, but lots of street parking and lots all around behind the buildings. Very cozy and familial atmosphere. Kid friendly alsoVegetarian options: There is plenty of veg options or you can ask for a veg versionKid-friendliness: Kid friendly, we had 3 toddlers next to us and they were fine. How can you not satisfy a kid with a pasta dish?Parking: There are lots near me around behind the buildings if you can't find streetWheelchair accessibility: Accessible doors and very manageable tables you can get a chair against

Total hidden gem... delicious food and a cozy little environment. Their bartender Ricky is wonderful... very kind and has great suggestions. Their calamari is so freakin good... saganaki as well. The Greek Sampler is perfect... seriously. Can't go wrong. And the owner is a beautiful gem as well!

You'll be flying high at Pegasus, named for a Greek mythological stallion with wings! This somewhat intimate restaurant has been in RVA for decades. The first thing we noticed was the sea of silver and gray-haired clientele. So while our kids are in their late 20's, hubby and I fit right in. The next thing we noticed is that is is super loud in there and we were fortunate to get a corner table which helped with the sound! We felt sorry for our frazzled server, Sophia, because she really has her hands full! She was zooming from table to table with plates for of food and she seemed quite overwhelmed, although she was extremely apologetic and pleasant. They need more wait staff to accommodate their customers properly. She missed some of our drink orders, was slow bringing our our bread basket and a few other things, but did the best she could. For this reason I almost gave this spot a 3, but the food took it up a notch. The authentic Greek cuisine was on the money. They also had some Italian options. A burrata dish was chosen for our appetizer which was a mound of mozzarella with tomato and spices. Most of the entrées came with soup or salad choices. I opted for the avgolemono soup which was mildly lemony with chunks of chicken; it tasted homemade! The salads came out and they were pretty small-sized portions but adequate since the main courses were fairly hefty! I chose the rosemary chicken which came with Greek-style green beans and a light rice pilaf, plus I ordered a small side of fettuccine. The rosemary chicken was incredibly tender and the garlicky sauce was superb! The fettuccine Alfredo was delish too, not swimming in a cream sauce like many other places, but delicately coated so you could really taste the flavor of the cheese and the noodles! Other dishes ordered were eggplant parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, and Mediterranean shrimp. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. We shared a tiramisu for dessert which was light and tasty. The prices were reasonable and even though the service was a bit chaotic, we still had a nice evening! I'd like to try it on a week night when it's not so busy. Bottom line: I wouldn't "myth" a chance to give this restaurant a go!!

Very very good food!!! Salads and starters were amazing and so was the plates! People were really nice and I’m not that adventurous with food but it was delicious!
