Amazing customer service! They were happy for me to share a family cookie recipe as I placed my order. I would have been happy with the cookie batch coming out as I've been used to over the years from family members. However I soon realized I'm dealing with a professional baker here and the cookies came out better than I ever remember them being. The taste and texture were on a higher level. I love the creative flavors and offerings this small family business provides to their cakes, cookies, and more. I'm a very happy customer and can't wait to stop in again!

We were in Richmond with a group from out of town during my son’s birthday, and wanted to order his favorite dessert.. a. M&M chocolate chip cookie.. Pies & Cakes made an absolutely delicious and perfectly chewy GIANT cookie “cake” that disappeared as quick as we could cut it!I wish we lived closer!

Everything they make is good! Flavors are balanced and rich. I once had a Prosecco cupcake from them that turned my whole day around.They take special orders and they are reasonably priced for good quality baked goods.Do yourself a favor and get some!

Absolutely fantastic ! The service was incredible as I reached out with a large same day order. It was good luck with the timing as they had room to accommodate which would normally be difficult for anyone. Chastity was warm and communicative. I ordered 3 dozen cupcakes of various flavors. Hands down the best cupcakes I have ever had ... anywhere ...and I've had many over all the decades ;) Beautifully made and presented, moist , delicious and not overly sweet so the delicious flavors shine- the buttercream icing is a dream. The flavors are impeccable. Many thanks !! - can't wait for the next time :)

This local bakery is sooooo delicious. I am not typically a lover of sweets but this place has made me crave it. That hummingbird cupcake with cream cheese icing is simply one of the best cupcakes I have ever eaten. The lemon pound cake has suck a delicious lemony flavor. The brownies were decadent and chocolaty and were loved by everyone in my house. The best thing about this bakery is that each week there is a new and delicious menu. So each week you can try something new!!! Also the owner and baker is a super sweet lady so Go check them out ASAP!!!

Oh my! I figured I couldn't go wrong looking for a cake with a name like "Pies and Cakes". Soooo good! I wish I had gotten more! The Peach coffee cake with marscapone icing just melted in my mouth. Such a rich, moist cake. Cherry pie tart was packed with yummy cherries on a rustic crust. And the mocha cake is for later, but I imagine it rocks, too! Great, clean atmosphere; nice staff (owner), and I heard they do a pizza pop up once a month! It was acool idea that surprised me to feature one amazing flavor of each item sold. It was just what my brother and sister wanted for a birthday cake, too. She is rocking the business and this way each week she features the best of the best.
