Been wanting to go here for quite awhile. Finally happened upon it while driving down river rd. Was happy that I did. Did not sit outside as the weather was a bit chilly. But inside was still a nice ambiance as they have windows looking out onto the terrace. Will have to go back when I can be out. The parking lot was full, but there was still quite a few empty tables. We were there for lunch and the menu offered a fairly good choice. Sandwiches, soup, salads . I guess you could order off the big menu too. I had the caprese sandwich and the home cooked chips. A definite try if you like crispy chips. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich and broccoli potato soup. All of it was delicious and reasonably priced. We couldn't resist ordering espresso and tiramisu for dessert.Service was excellent. Bathroom large and clean.

We have had Elias as our waiter a couple of times. We have been going to Portico for years. There are a couple of waiters we've had in the past who didn't have much personality. Elias has made up for them in spades. Such a nice personable young man. Makes the dining experience that much more enjoyable. We also enjoyed having Cora the other night. A good waiter/waitress adds to the overall experience!

So delicious! We had the red pepper soup special, rockfish special and lamb risotto. The soup was probably the highlight for me — it was sooo good. The risotto was also absolutely perfect and my husband was pleasantly surprised by the quantity and quality of the lamb. Atmosphere was really nice and the pacing for when they brought out the next courses was spot on. Will definitely go back for another special occasion.

We ate here for the first time. Overall the meal was fine but my husband ordered a salad. He literally got a plate of lettuce and four sliced cucumbers and that was it. I think we were charged about $15.00 for the “salad.”
Dinner was so great! My husband and I went for my birthday. It's a little pricey but for the quality of food, service and experience I'd say it was worth the money - so definitely good value. But I don't see us going here as a regular thing - it's more of a special occasion place for us. I didn't think a Tuesday at 7:00 would be busy but there were a fair amount of people so I do recommend making a reservation in advance. We both got the soup special (red pepper) and that might have been the highlight for me. I'm really not a soup person but this one was so, so good. Then I got the rockfish special, which had an amazing beurre blanc and my husband got the lamb risotto. I don't eat lamb but I did try the risotto and it was amazing. He was super happy with his meal especially because they did not skimp on the lamb quantity or quality. Overall, it was a great meal, service was great and the atmosphere (we sat outside under the tent) was pleasant. TBH neither of us can believe this place doesn't have a higher start rating. We'll be back!

What a lovely dinner and location! Portico is a beautiful setting, (we can't wait to return in the spring when everything is in bloom!) The food and service were also excellent - and the presentation of the food was great. I got the champagne fried oysters and they were very good. They were batter-fried and served with a mix of greens and a lovely type of a green goddess dressing on the side. My husband got the garlic bread and wow! It came with a basil balsamic and chopped tomatoes. He loved it. For an entree I got the baked spaghetti which is a huge portion. It had a very delicate meat sauce with a lot of melted cheese. Hubby had the pizza picante, with several meats and pepperocini peppers. It had a very thin crust which stayed crispy, and it was delicious. The inside of the restaurant is lovely - think French farmhouse. Many windows allow a view out to the lovely gardens, and tent with a huge fireplace for outdoor seating now. Service was excellent. We definitely will be back!

Cocktails were delicious, a different twist to try: Brown Butter Old Fashion! So delicious, loved it! (Must mention, this cocktail is not always available - so we had a few!) The meal was excellent. Caesar salad to start, perfectly cooked filet mignon with gorgonzola sauce, mashed potatoes and assorted veggies. Great experience.

Everything was great. Only complaint is they don't accept Amex or Discover. Those are so common in the industry that it almost felt arbitrary and off-putting and the way the waitress reacted to my Discover card, you'd have thought it was poisonous. Other than that - great experience.
