Although the service was exceptional, I was VERY disappointed that the menu offered at the restaurant was MINIMAL in comparison to that lusted on OpenTable. I would not have taken my niece & her friend out for special supper here, I known that the offerings would be significantly less. Because I live in Philadelphia, I relied on the restaurant to provide accurate menu via OpenTable as I researched spots...very disappointing!

Food was good, as usual. Oysters and Pearls were creative. The halibut was well cooked. Service wasn't the best. Dessert menu left much to be desired. For a birthday celebration it would have been nice to have something from the bakery to stick a candle in.

Really really good with the except of the level of salt in the dishes. We tried the paella and the seared fish, both would have been a 10/10 if it wasn’t for the overwhelming amount of salt with each bite. My recommendation to you would be to ask for less salt upon ordering. It would be a much more enjoyable experience. Service was excellent as it tends to be in most RVA spots

Wow!! How do I begin. We were celebrating my Mom's 80th birthday!! We started with the oysters from Topping and they were delicious. My Dad and and I ordered the octopus and it was amazing. My husband got the Mahi and he said it was very tasty, my Mom got the BLT oysters and she said they were outstanding!! Our waitress Katie was very attentive and made sure we got everything we wanted. She was the best waitress we have ever had in all are dining experiences. This place is a hidden secret on Grace Street. Great food, great service and excellent atmosphere!! Thank you for making this day very special!!

Nice place but very limited menu. I was shocked that they didn't even have the standard beers and spirits. Our waitress was excellent but disappointed in the menu and options. Oysters were delicious.

Oh dear, my oyster experience here was not a good one. Instead of sweet, juicy morsels of chewy goodness we were served dried, stringy oysters full of grit and pieces of shell. I can do better at home. This was to be a highlight of our trip and yet was a huge disappointment. Paella was okay, especially the Socarrat. Again shrimp and mussels were overcooked. Seafood chef take note.

Overall, fresh oysters and tender octopus appetizer are very, very good. Branzino dish was moist and tasty, but a bit oversauced, and the plating was fussy in that these other items on the plate took the focus off the fish. A good meal as expected, but not my best meal at this restaurant. Service was friendly and very attentive. For oysters and seafood, this restaurant is always in the top 3 in RVA for my consideration.

I'm picky, but this place made me happy.I don't mind pricy, if the food and service warrant it.Most of the time, it does not. Here it does.

A downtown Richmond restaurant that showcases seafood. It has a limited menu, but it hits the seafood basics very well.Vegetarian options: Not a vegetarian place.Parking: A tough parking situation when it is busy.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, but tight.

The $15 walnut salad had hazelnuts instead of walnuts, which were not told when ordering. (We were later told they forgot to order walnuts.) One entree had clearly been prepared twice. We had to ask several times where it was. The menu was limited and stale. A real disappointment.
