Probably the best brisket in the city. Tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Pairs up perfectly with any of the homemade BBQ sauces. Unforbidden Fruit BBQ sauce sweetened with apples is unique and is definitely a prize winning sauce.Burnt Ends were also very good. No sauce needed on those.More of a take out atmosphere, but there is some seating inside and a few tables outside. Worth staying on site to eat your food fresh and hot off the chopping block. Highly recommended when you need to get your BBQ fix.
The best barbecue in town, small business with amazing folks that work there, Met the owner and didn't even realize. Please don't hesitate to give them a try before you go anywhere else! Chopped brisket, burnt ends, midnight in virginia sandwich, redemption burger... and of course praise the lard fries!

The pulled pork was very good and the Polish sausage was excellent. The potato salad was also quite good. I tried all of the sauces and they were fine. I don't love BBQ sauce (BBQ sauce is good for covering bad meat). Their meat doesn't need it.

Great Chicago style deep dish pizza. Very similar to Lou Malnati’s deep dish pizza in Chicago. Redemption BBQ has become my go to in VA for Chicago style deep dish pizza. They are the best in town.

No seed oils here! And they only use meat from local regenerative farmers which is much better than organic. They also sell regen farm eggs by the dozen and some raw meats as well. It's nice to see a restaurant doing things the right way. Great service too. Seating is limited, you may want to plan on takeout if its a busy weekend night. Highly recommend!

i've never been to a place that has put so much focus on quality. You can buy polyface farm eggs here, raw milk if you are part of the co-op program, the best quality meets anywhere in Richmond, Chicago style pizza that people literally drive here from Maryland to pick up!!! (weekends and with 1 hour notice for pizza). What an amazing discovery and this place was across the way for me for two years and I did not know it, what a waste of time not coming here sooner. Well I know about it now so get out here and support it so it will be here for many years.
Can’t believe I haven’t done a review for this place yet. We’ve had the pizza, burger, Cuban, fries, and got the frozen country sausage. All of it was fantastic. I love that they have a weekly special as well, the brisket steak and cheese was tremendous. Service is always great, people are super sweet.

We tried the Chicago style deep dish pizza and it was authentic and delicious. As a Chicago native I need my deep dish pizza fix every so often and Redemption's pizza hit the spot. They were running a little behind on orders tonight but worth the wait. Need to order ahead of time so keep that in mind. Looking forward to trying their BBQ on my next visit.
