Ordered from grubhub, got the Vegan Scrapple Sandwich. All I can say is wow!! Warm and tasty. It is made with the vegan peppercorn biscuits and has a veggie patty and avocado and tomato. Wonderfully seasoned and as a vegan I must say not a lot of places have something like this. Sad I didn't try the local coffee but guess I have to go back! Lol

Have enjoyed food from here and the portions are fairly generous. I'll have to ask for gravy on the side when ordering biscuits and gravy for delivery, though. It's a hole in the wall looking place which some people love but I think it would be nice to add some coziness

You. Guys. The biscuits are for real here. If we had not been driving through, I would have ordered one of each of their breakfast sandwiches, and eaten them in turn. Their menu promises so much! And I'm telling you, Root Stock Provisions delivers. (Figuratively speaking. I customized our orders online and picked then up from a table inside the restaurant.) I wish we lived in Richmond, because I would order brunch from there every weekend. Prices are fair, and in our brief interaction, the staff were friendly.

Placed a Togo order. Really researched breakfast areas near my hotel. Ugh. Another one of my fails. Sausage and gravy biscuit with fried egg. I don't eat eggs. I hate... loathe the runny yolk and told the girl on the phone that I didn't want the egg near my biscuit. I should have checked it but the bag was tied and it felt like there were several individual items so I assumed it was ok. The biscuit was in with the egg and the egg yolk completely saturated and soaked into my biscuit. The gravy was on the side. The gravy is odd and very oily. I love sausage gravy biscuits. This was no bueno. Biscuit overall is strange. It's like an English muffin and a normal biscuit had a baby. I ordered a quiche to eat tomorrow. All I see is mushroom. It was supposed to have other stuff but I can't even remember and or see anything else to remember what all she said it had. Also very oily and leaked into the bag. Husband got the maple sausage biscuit. He ate it and liked it but said it was very oily even for sausage. Little fruit cup. It's fruit. Not much more to say about that. $28. Wasted. Good luck everyone else. Gave 2 stars bc the biscuit sandwich was big.

Not gonna lie... probably the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. I would’ve taken a picture, but it looked to good to wait.? I got the sweet potato sandwich with sausage, egg, and cheddar.... all I can say is damn. The sausage was amazing, and the biscuit was the best I’ve ever tasted. I will definitely be returning!

The manager is uneducated in restaurant management, hospitality, and doesn't have a problem with being dismissive to his employees and guest. He abruptly dismissed a long time customer I witnessed for asking for extra meat (I will admit the portions of meat are extremely small). Then when i tried to order my food, the waitress did not know anything about the food items, serving guest, or answering any questions so she had to call the manager back to the phone. He then, got EXTREMELY frustrated with me, didn't let me speak because he interrupted the entire time, then yelled and said "that's how I make it if you don't want it don't ever come eat here". In the past, the manager never seemed very friendly, but this was my first time speaking to him. I was totally surprised!
This place is fantastic. When I said to my husband, do you know what these taste like and his response was a little bit of heaven, I couldn't agreed more. We had breakfast biscuit sandwiches that were so delish. Then I ordered the chocolate biscuit with Nutella and OMG it was so heavenly I just wanted to bathe in it. I'm so glad I found this place when staying in downtown Richmond. Almost want to go back just for this place!

Delicious breakfast! My husband and I both had the root stick breakfast. We added the sausage gravy. Best biscuit I've had in a long time. Everything was fresh and well prepared. Food came fast and staff is friendly. Large portion of food for only $11! We will be back!

Had a wonderful lunch at Root Stock today. I split two items with my husband -- a most delicious grilled cheese on homemade bread, and an outstanding chicken salad. Can't wait for dinner when we will enjoy the takeout desserts that we couldn't resist! It's not far from I-95 and the River Walk. We will be back next time we pass through Richmond.
