There was a bit of a wait, but that was to be expected. They had some unique flavors, and the ice cream was yummy.

The cardamom and pistachio ice cream combined with triple chocolate was divine, as was the highly recommended cream brûlée, the cone super crispy and fresh ?SCOOP is #26 on the Top 100 Ice Cream Shops in the US. (YELP source)

Nice place, but definitely NOT for people with gluten allergies despite the gluten free menu. This wasn't clear from the website. At least at the serving level (not sure about the icecream making), the same scoops are used for all icecreams. Got a gluten free blondie, which they said shouldn't have any cross-contamination issues, but did still get a small reaction. No options to buy pre-packed gluten free desserts (to avoid the scoop/cross-contamination issue), unfortunately!

The ice cream is delicious and I highly recommend it! There were a variety of flavors including gluten-free and vegan options. Additionally they changed scoop to avoid cross contaminations for those with celiac disease. The outdoor benches were also perfect seating for the sunny day!

Came here twice while on vacation, their ice cream is immaculate! There was a line out the door both times we came due to the small shop size, but it moved quick and the service was amazing. Definitely stop by while you're in Richmond!!

Disappointed with the milkshake I had today. I understand the worker was tired from a busy day but it seemed like she didn’t care about the milkshake she was making me. It was super thin. It seemed like she just wanted to end her shift and get the milkshake made in seconds. I felt like I was drinking straight milk. It wasn’t worth the $8 plus tip. I love scoop and I was super bummed to with this milkshake. Should have just got a single scoop.

I was in heaven. It's in a neighborhood, so no paid parking. The flavors are unique and the ice cream was fantastic. I got Cranberry, Cognac, and Cookie ice cream, mixed with Goat Cheese and Fig. It was soooo good. I've been dreaming of it for days. Too bad I'm not local. If I'm ever in Richmond again, this is going to be my go-to ice cream shop!

Really good ice cream. Great seasonal flavors and all but their milkshakes were bad. They use oatmilk, which I like, but it overpowers the flavor of whatever ice cream is used and is just a $9 oatmilk shake which is really not worth it.

Scoop is an excellent choice! The flavors are creative and reliably fresh and good. The service is always friendly and efficient, despite the lines that sometimes form. A little pricey, so this is a treat, but in line with similar artisanally-made ice cream and for this neighborhood. I like their seasonal variety and the outdoor hangout space. Feels like a real neighborhood place and adds so much to the charm of Strawberry Street.

Very tasty ice cream ( I had the mint cookies and cream). What I object to is the pricing scheme. $5 for a two-ounce mini, but just $6 for a four-ounce small. For those of us who choose to eat healthy, this is quite a "tax" on sensible portion control. No wonder this country is obese!Outdoor seating "in the street" COVID-style. No quaint green space nearby to stroll and eat. Parking hit or miss on-streetNot a destination, strictly neighborhood walk-up.
