The sushi burritos are so good!!! The crunchy spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls are also good. I personally did not love the crunch on the spicy tuna roll, though.

The best sushi place in Richmond!

Only picked up something to go but loved how cute the place is. The equality of the food was also great. It's a perfect option for lunch if you work downtown. I will definitely return soon!

Ive seen this place several times but never got to try it until recently! It is located in the shared lobby of Omni Hotel and other business buildings. I believe it primarily serves the lunch rush for the nearby businessmen during weekdays. Its a cosy little corner shop with limited seating but lots of bento/lunch boxes with ready-to-go sushi. I got the crunchy crab roll! From the other reviews, I thought the sushi chef would make the roll fresh on the spot, but later learned that he would only do so if its not available in the fridge. I appreciate the big portion size but felt that the rice to filling ratio was too high for my liking. The crab filling is imitation crab but with a spicy sauce. I also wish that it had more topping sauce (spicy mayo/terakayi sauces)? I was happy it came with miso soup but it was a little lacking in seasoning. I saw that many people got the bowls so maybe thats what they are better known for? The staff was super nice too!

Closed on MLK day... you are surrounded by apartments. Terrible choice. Maybe if it said as much on your website. Oh there isn't one.

I cannot recommend Sesame Sushi enough! The owner made a fresh Spicy Tuna roll for me and it was shockingly fantastic. Other than the sushi being delicious, the owner being so incredibly friendly, the prices are even better! You really get delicious sushi for a great price.

First time ordering from here . I order 2 orders of shrimp tempura and philly roll and they gave me 1 spicy roll ,1 philly and 1 tempura. So already my order was wrong that they delivered. Also the food was deff not fresh . Its pre made a day or 2 ahead and packaged. If I wanted that I could have gone to Kroger. But when I complained bout it they said it's fine and they wont refund me for the messed up order . So now I'm stuck with a $10 roll I cant eat . Deff not worth what I paid for . Back to Sushi King.

Sesame Sushi is nestled quietly inside the Atrium of Two James Center (the building with Arby's and Starbucks) and I'm glad it's here. It's a cozy little place run by very kind people. They have a nice showcase for premade sushi at affordable price points. Premade sushi is OK but for me I had to have my sushi made to order. I rocked all the classics: Smoked eel, tuna, salmon, and shrimp. I threw in a Mexican Sprite for good measure and my lunch partner K-Dawg let me have her miso soup. Sushi made to order comes out closer to room temperature rather than the colder pre-made stuff. Therefore, if you don't mind dropping over $20 on lunch this is the better option. If you're trying to save money pack your lunch. If you're like me on the other hand and have a Cardi B song stuck in your head... 'Bout my coins like Mario! Run this $#!+ like cardio! Then part with the $20 and Treat Yo Self! Look at it this way, you're helping to support the local City of Richmond economy. In closing, I'll take more pictures next time. I hope this place sticks around.

I got a Mix Combo. I have had sushi from a lot of places, and this was rather far down my list. Probably wouldn't go again. This restaurant should consider re-sourcing their fish.
