I can't believe this is under the same ownership as the "Southsiiiide" location. I have never had a bad experience at the West End location. Great place for lunch or an evening date. Food is really good and portion sizes are ample. They actually have adults that work there. The Asian staff is very courteous.

Ramen was good. Got the tonkatsu miso and the tonkatsu classic. Side of fried calamari. Food came out to us very quickly. However the server liked to mumble so it was hard to hear over the music. Overall good experience. Will be back.
Takara is a fantastic dining experience, I always make a stop in Richmond on my way through town for it! Generous bowl of any type of ramen, rice, etc for under $20.
Very good ramen place, good variety of selection, and the food is delicious. I would have liked some better seats, but other than that, I enjoyed it very much.
Don't let the size of the restaurant fool you- if you're looking for the real deal in ramen, you have found the right place. They have a variety of other dishes that are rare to see as well, and the fried oysters are amazing!
Kids love ramen. Great family spot to try new foods. Everything was fantastic with excellent service. Seemed to be very authentic. Highly recommended!Kid-friendliness: Kids loved it!
If you want ramen from here, just go a few meters down the road, buy a packet of ramen and whatever you wanna add in it and make it at home. That's pretty much what they do here and charge you up the wazoo for it. If you want actual Ramen or anything else real and authentic (like 3x the more options) go to the Ramen Spot near VCU. Way better food and way bigger menu. For example, if you want actual soba noodle with your yaki soba go there, not here. Peace, love, and actual Japanese food.

Delicious!! We stopped in on an extremely cold winter night for a late dinner. Service was quick and the ramen warmed us right up!
