Eclairs are my favorite dessert and these were filled nicely and still so yummy days later. The cookies were crunchy and a great size. We got a lot of comments about how good all the desserts tasted. Stopped by on Valentines Day after seeing the Facebook post they had sweet treats for the holiday. I bought 4 cupcakes, 2 heart shaped personal cakes and a 2 layer heart shaped cake. I took the cake for a friends Galentines dinner, when the cake was cut the layers of cake we stale and hard, and the icing just crumbled. The cake was not even editable, the personal small cakes were a surprise for parents and my mom said the same about those. The 4 cupcakes were the BEST out of the almost $50.00 that I spent. I love a bakery and The Mixing Bowl did my daughters first birthday cake 20yrs ago. I sent a message on FB with no response, I did say in my message no need to respond but you would think the manager or owner would've responded.

This bakery made my wedding cake, and it was perfect! I have never been disappointed. I normally don't like cannolis but their cannolis are to die for! The staff are super friendly. And the atmosphere is so cute. Definitely will be back soon to get more cannolis. Lol.

I purchased two pies for thanksgiving from them as they were recommended to me. The pumpkin pie was good but very shallow. The apple pie was one of the worst pies I have had unfortunately. It looks good but the filling tasted very tart with no spices (sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, etc.)and it was very shallow. It tastes like straight lemon juice. Very disappointed and will not be going here for pies again.

My son was coming in town for the for the night and he loves Mixing’s Bowl carrot sticks. She made them for the next day. I was impressed! Oh he did them justice. He loves them and give me more time to order!

Ordered 6 cupcakes and asked for their most popular. These taste just fine! However, the presentation is really underwhelming. I thought it was a mistake at first. The wrapping is basically off the cupcakes, which makes it look like they took them out, flipped them upside down and iced the bottoms? If they were just for my family I wouldn’t have minded, but I bought them for a small party. I felt embarrassed to serve these so we got a small Publix’s cake instead. ?I think they do lovely wedding cakes here based on other pictures I’m seeing, but if you’re just looking for cupcakes there are a lot of other places around Henrico selling standard cupcakes that look better than these.
