This place is definitely for the older crown.. the grown folks ?. I would have given 4 stars but the bartender wasn't very friendly but her drinks were generous. And I was charged twice on an open tab. Other than that I love the whole backyard experience.. it was a whole vibe!

Loaded nachos with brisket, mac and cheese with brisket, ribs, crab Burger, spicy chicken sandwich, spicy fries. I've tried all of those and they were all delicious 10 out of 10 would recommend.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the spices, and the backyard! Just make sure you put some mosquito repellent or wear long pants of you plan to sit outside! Went here for a birthday party and we had a blast!

The half-rack of ribs looked so big before I unwrapped it, I thought they'd accidentally given me a full rack! Ribs are great and there are plenty of vegetarian BBQ options. The jackfruit BBQ passes my wife's standards!Edit: updated to 5 stars after finishing our leftovers. They have the best cornbread I've ever eaten -- it's soft, moist, and just sweet enough -- and the mac 'n cheese made my wife immediately comment, "Yeah that slaps."

We felt so welcomed and will go back !Update to clarify - no idea there was live music and a wonderful back patio. I figured it was a small bbq joint with no entertainment ! And the staff was fantastic. Def get the collards btw

If there’s better bbq in Richmond I haven’t found it. Absolutely incredible food and great music to go with it. They pull off a wonderful balancing act where neither the bbq or the sides outshine each other which is a rarity for the category in my opinion. Feels like a real neighborhood joint as opposed to the rising trend in “wait in line for an hour, get your food and get out” places popping up. Go if you haven’t, go again if you have!

Got barbecue here a couple of weeks back and am still thinking about it. The meat was savory and tender, and the sauces were phenomenal.When I stopped in to grab my takeout a DJ was spinning hits from the 80s and 90s and the whole place was jumping. Great atmosphere, even better food.

I really enjoy going to this spot. The drinks are always on point. Those spicy fries are DELICIOUS!! The crowd is good, the bartenders are very ingaging I've never had to wait long for my drinks ?. I just wish the outside portion was open more. I REALLY enjoy being outside, especially when the fire pitts are lit. Please please open the back. I think I'm going today after work for drinks ?Thanks ?
Just got food delivered from Pitts BBQ joint and immediately came here for my review. Was utterly shocked to see 4+ stars because my food was a solid 1 star. Ordered a salad, no dressing. Ordered the 3 meat bbq platter with Hennessy sauce. No sauce. Meat was dryer than a desert! And they use some seasoning that is not good. Mac n cheese was over powered by pepper. Greens were meh. Banana pudding was spilled. Only thing that was decent was mozzarella sticks. Never everrrr again. And it was expensive

Interesting place, the server was amazing she looked like she was twelve.She remembered our whole order & made suggestions, excellent server! problem was we got everything together after 50 minute wait we should have had the wings first while we waited for the rest.Food was overall ok.Brisket.......well I won't go there.

We stopped in by random remembering it used to be Boondocks, and just Wow......The new owners have done a great job!A must eat, Food portions are large, flavorful homemade BBQ smoked in house, a menu for everyone.Drinks are always 100%Live music ? ? with an amazing patio out back.Prices are very reasonableVery clean building from seating area to bar and bathroomsAnd from Patrons, to Staff to Management you are welcomed for yourself without drama of other establishmentsA very diverse and hidden gem of Southside Richmond.
