My fiancé and I went for his birthday and it was perfect for him. There was a little wait bc we went for Sunday brunch and didn’t know to make a reservation, but they sat us at the bar as fast as they could. Dee was our bartender. She is a vibe. She made the best drinks and was the sweetest. All of our food was great. I got pancakes and they were HUGE. Everything was very flavorful. The DJ was picking out some good music. Lots of throwbacks, which I loved. 10/10, we will be back.

This place was definitely a vibe for both my wife & myself. They already had a DJ there. We sat at the bar, singing & dancing to every song that they played. We had a reservation at 11:15am on a Sunday. They opened at 11, within an hour of us being there they were packed full & had people waiting outside. *You should definitely make a reservation when you go.* We started the day off with a Mimosa Flight for each of us. They have 8-10 flavors to choose from & you can pick 4 per flight. My flight is in the picture.They sell brunch & dinner meals all day so you can pick whichever at any time of day. My wife ordered the Salmon & Grits ?i don't know how to fry salmon bites & they still be cooked perfectly inside, but their cook did it. It was unbelievably amazing. I ordered a Salmon Philly with Tater Tots. I've never ate salmon on sandwich before like that. It was honestly mind blowing.Will definitely be returning here when we visit Richmond again.The Riviere should be on everyone's must-visit list.

The music was extremely loud, we just left because they did not offer any option. I did not expect a place to eat with such loud music. Why would you offer reservations and then surprise people with such an unacceptable atmosphere (to eat)?Added 2 stars for service because the receptionist kindly gave us a recommendation for an alternate restaurant serving brunch.

I read the reviews AFTER eating, so here it is. I liked it! It was a vibe. The music is definitely the younger crowd, so if Sexy Red, Meg, Vocals music are not your thing, don't go. The wings, mac n chz, and yams were very good. The drinks were love the pineapple rum punch!!! Try it. We will be back with our crew soon.

Before I get into the review, I sat and read other reviews after dining today to see if other customers had similar experiences, and as I expected, they did.The good: the food was decent, or at least my meal was. Everything I tried around the table was good and I appreciate that whether hot or cold, there was some flavor there.The bad: definitely think that this place has potential, but everything just seemed unorganized. We had a guest that was running behind and was basically forced to order the entire meal before arriving so that all the food could go in together, but it didn’t make a difference because it all came out at different times. I understand the time limit of tables, but what I don’t understand is that with only an hour and a half on the table, it took an hour for us to receive all of the food and drinks ordered. Things were made incorrectly, bought out in pieces, or just cold, so no one was able to fully enjoy their entire meal. I was already irritated because as someone in the service industry; I instantly realized my drink didn’t have all of the ingredients, and the typos on the menu (smh) are a lot. Now, our server did their best to handle when items were incorrect, which was appreciated, but there wasn’t a piece of organization in sight. To add insult to injury, we basically were kicked out 10/15 minutes after the last person received their meal. If you’re going to have a time limit, at least get the food out at a decent rate.

I am not overly impressed with the food as a visitor. I would have liked some sauce with the salmon cakes that were quite thin and had just a little drizzle on them. Food was luke warm and lacked flavor.The ambiance seems to be appreciated by a younger urban crowd in the heart of downtown Richmond. Im likely not to patron this establishment again as I will need the music to come down just a notch during lunch hours and there to be some general maintenance/cleaning.
