I was here visiting from Colorado and my son told me about this bar. Being a huge Rob Zombie fan, as soon as my son mentioned Captain Spaulding, I had to see this place. I LOVE this bar!! Met the owner briefly, and he was a super nice guy. I told him I was here from Colorado, but he had already figured I was from out of town. Guess walking around the whole place running live videos was a dead giveaway, LOL. Anyway, if you enjoy local bars with good music and great people, make sure to stop here when in Richmond. Even the regulars were awesome. Impressed! RIP Sid Haig

I parked directly in front of the club and one of the “something like security guards” that’s what he called himself when I asked, broke into my car and stole from me things that are replaceable but it’s the principle. I have a mini camera but the items were less than $100 and it’s not worth reporting. Plus it was dark so hard to tell which guy out of the 4 it was. I would’ve just given them what they stole if they asked when we were talking. The nice manger please watch your circle.

This is one of the best bars in Richmond! The lame-o's leaving bad reviews need to go back to Applebees and smell like hotdog water.
Small club but a small enough crowd for its size. Artistic but a bit much. Boarder line hoarder style inside.

First off I've driven past Wonderland a few times and always wondered exactly what it was. After I got out of the show I decided I was going to check it out since it was right near the public parking lot that I used. I have to say I am really glad that I did as I walked in I literally felt like I was walking through the door to Wonderland like Alice in Wonderland. Each corner of the bar is filled with Curiosities that will ignite your imagination from the table that's covered in Frank Sinatra memorabilia and quotes to the clowns on the wall everywhere you look you'll see something new and probably will each time you come in there discover something that you didn't see the time before. The service was fantastic I told the gentleman behind the bar that I had a long drive home and couldn't drink and he was more than willing to serve me something that was not alcoholic and make sure I was taken care of. To my knowledge They don't serve food but if you're really hungry there is a pizza place next door. However if you're in the mood for tasty drinks, wonderful service, a distinctly unique ambience, and some of the best punk music in the area this is your place! I hear tell they even have space for live punk music to be played I haven't seen a show yet there but I definitely want to come check it out!

Great spot!Recommend if you're traveling in the area. Excellent staff. Very helpful with anything and lots of fun with travelers!Just remember....Don't forget your girlfriends wallet is in your pocket...makes the drinks that much worst.

So fun! EXACTLY what you want in a "dive bar". The decorations and motif are so cool--there are black lights and all types of kitschy stuff all around and the main bartender was super chill and cool. He even did an impromptu trivia question (handed out small pieces of paper to vote) with everyone and announced the results on the PA system microphone which was really fun. I was only in town for a few days and this bar was in the neighborhood I was exploring during the evening with a friend--it was recommended to us for a laid back type of "Dive Bar". We had an absolute blast-the clientele was super friendly as well and we ended up chatting with others sitting at the bar. It was a weekday night but there was still a good amount of people in the bar and a perfect place to end the night for sure! The drinks were very reasonable and straight to the point--not somewhere I would go to order a Martini but any type of mixed drink or beers works as well as shots!
