The food is good, but they always seem to have a significant line. I've been to plenty of awesome barbecue restaurants in particular, and just restaurants in general that didn't require a significant investment of time to get food.

If you live in Richmond and have not been here, you should be kicked out of Richmond. This is one of the best BBQ restaurants in America. The brisket was amazing, the jalapeño cheese stuffed sausage was awesome. The atmosphere and the people were excellent. Everything was awesome. This is one of the top brisket places in the US. I will fly to Richmond now instead of DC so I can eat here. The BBQ sauce is special!!! Don't miss out.

On our way back home from South Carolina, my husband and I decided to stop half way to get lunch. We always like to stop at places Guy fieri featured on diners, drive in and dives show, so we opted to stop here. My husband ordered prime rib which came by the 1/3, ½, 3/4 or pound sizes. His was between 1/2-3/4lb size. Sides are all ala carte. So he got a side of garlic mashed potatoes. The prime rib was $26/lb, all sides are $4 for a small (which is small). I ordered the smoked turkey sandwich which came with slaw on it. The sandwich was $14 for just a sandwich. My husband really enjoyed his prime rib. I thought my sandwich was ok, definitely not worth $14. Atmosphere was cute and rustic with Texas accents. It is all counter service (but staff pick up your plates from the tables, if you eat in) and a walk up bar.

Service was great, even with a line of customers the staff kept everyone moving at a good pace. My Tres Hombres was huge, I ate 1/2 and took the other half (it was delicious microwaved the following day as a leftover).The sauce was excellent, and the bbq moist, tender, and flavorful. If there were a 10 star rating I’d give that.I had the beet salad which was also very good.Well-Done!

I went for lunch with a group of people and the service was excellent. Despite the place being full, the atmosphere was great. I love brisket and this one was good, although a bit too lean for my taste. The flavor and bark were great, though. The sausage was okay, but it was too spicy for me. I would definitely come back to try something else. This is a great lunch spot.

I was genuinely optimistic of the food and all the good reviews in the area but the brisket was so dry I couldn't finish but 3 bites. The mac and cheese was sub par and even though it said the ribs were sold out 30 min after we ordered a few people were served a full plate of ribs and then some. I was truly disappointed I spent close to 100 for just myself and my child and was soo disappointed that everything was so underwhelming. My honest opinion foods sub par .. wait staff was very attentive and deserving of great tips but the actual food was a severe disgrace and I would NOT suggest any one to partake. Love life b happy try new things always!!!

What can I say. I love this place. I always get the brisket. It is hands down the best brisket in VA - PERIOD. Yes, I have tried a lot of others. Hands down no contest. Come early. I love the cheese habenaro sausage too. Will try the beef and cheddar, but I must get the brisket. It is a must!!!!
