Soooooo disappointed! Ordered takeout tonight for dinner (2 entrees, a salad, and 2 desserts) at almost $50 I was told 25-30 minutes before it would be ready for pickup. Received a text five minutes later that our order was ready. My husband went in to grab our food well after that and they were “still working in it.” There was only one table that had anyone sitting at it.1- there was a hair in my salad (shown in photos)2- the salad was nothing but lettuce and onions with some terrible dressing on it (and came with more/different dressing??)3- the spanakopita and baklava were burned4- the spanakopita was NASTY, hard as a brick, tasted old.5- the tzatziki had zero flavor it tasted like plain yogurt in a cup6- the pita was also hard and burnt7- tiramisu was also old and flavorlessWill not be back!

I ordered by phone to deliver to my daughter. My daughter was so please with the food quality. On the second occasion my daughter was not at home. She pickup the food after work and told me that everyone at Aly Baba was so nice.
Best restaurant in Salem for food. I know this is a controversial statement but everything is wonderful. From pizzas to schwarma to smiles from your waiter.

My daughter and I visited for the first time today. I had the Veggie plate and she had the Kofta plate each with a mediteranean salad. The food and service was very good. We will return soon. I also enjoyed speaking with Zico. He is genuinely nice and sincere. This restuarant is a hidden treasure in Salem. Love it.

Soooooooooo good! We ordered from here for the first time through DoorDash. We got a falafel sandwich, a kofta plate, some extra pita, hummus, a couple of sides. Absolutely delicious and authentic. I've traveled extensively throughout the Middle East and the Mediterranean and everything was as delicious as the best I've eaten in Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, etc. The pickled carrots in the falafel sandwich and the Greek salad were out of this world - I'll have to ask for extra next time we order.I saw a couple of reviews that mention that the owner is from Egypt. I lived in Cairo for a couple of months 13 years ago and the food was my favorite part of that experience. This food reminded me of those days. Sometimes I dream about the Egyptian koshary stands. I wonder if the owner would make me koshary if I asked?Anyway, we'll DEFINITELY be back!!

Absolutely wonderful food. Can't say enough how delicious it wasHad the lamb shawarma and it was succulent moist and ever so tender. Not to mention seasoned greatAfter trying another restaurant out here and being disappointed I was leary but quite pleasantly surprised. Very happy with my meal and will definitely return

En route Smoky mountains visited this place. We had Falafel pita sandwiches, Fries and garlic bread and it was very very delicious. We visited this 100% halal restaurant during the past week. We ordered the chicken shawarma plate and lamb shawarma plate. We also ordered a side of falafel with hummus as our appetizers. The food was pretty good, tasting what shawarma plates usually taste like. However, if I could make a suggestion I would change the rice to basmati and lessen the salt. The service was great as the chef and employee came by often to see how we liked everything. Everyone was super friendly

Shish Kebab and Gyro Pita to go were so so good. The owner/chef was very welcoming and accommodating when we drove up and just made us feel at home while he cooked our order. Highly recommend.

I would share pictures if I could, but the food was too good and gone fast. Zico, the owner, was friendly and fast. My husband tries kebabs every place he travels and he loved theirs. Food was fresh and tasty. Hummus and pita bread was authentic. Highly recommend!
