Chanticleer catered our October 17th wedding and they were a pleasure to work with. Victoria was easy to communicate with and was very helpful throughout the planning process. Chanticleer offered a delicious fall dinner menu and hors d’oeuvres that we felt were very reasonably priced. Victoria and her team were true pros. The day of the wedding was very hectic, so it was nice to not have to worry or oversee any of the catering process. They were on time and the serving staff was very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend Chanticleer for wedding catering!

I attended a private catered event a few weeks ago at a friend's home and was very impressed with their service. The plentiful selection of hors d'oeuvres was delicious - some of the best I've ever had. The servers were pleasant and unobtrusive while keeping the food replenished. They were also very knowledgable about the ingredients and preparation of the food. I would definitely recommend this company!

Had their food at an event at Virginia Tech Carilion in Roanoke, best hors d'oeuvres I have ever had! Beautiful presentation and very precisely crafted dishes. Staff was very pleasant to speak with. I would certainly recommend for any fancy event.
We ate a Mexican buffet-style lunch. It was great! The wealth of items as well as the quality exceeded my expectations!

This box lunch was pretty pathetic. $11 is way overpriced for a tiny side salad as your main course. "Fruit salad" was 5 chunks of old watermelon, and "pasta salad" was basically some angel hair noodles with olive oil. Salad wasn't bad but it was literally the size of my fist. Will not be ordering again or recommending.

If you want to be bossed around and overcharged, this is the caterer for you. Please do not be fooled by this person's competitive menu price. It appears low but they will figure out ways to add extra charges. They have no respect for your budget. We were handed a bill that was 3 times the original estimate, just days before our wedding. Throughout the entire process we were being lied to and manipulated to do what the caterer wanted rather than what we wanted. This was the only negative experience associated with our wedding. I hate writing this because it was such a wonderful day and I hate to rehash such a negative aspect of it. Our expectations were not met and we paid 3 times what we had planned.. which put unnecessary hardship on the start of our love story. Please do not bother with this angry person, it will only sour your day. Roanoke has a lot of options. Speak to someone who will be honest about what the food costs, respect your budget and not add extra service/rental charges to increase the price and then lie about it.

This sneaky woman will hit you with all sorts of extra fees. She will also have her subordinates handle the negotiations, then on the day of your big event, not honor their assurances. Her food is good though, just be prepared to pay more than you thought. I almost forgot, she was rude to my guests when they requested additional utensils!
