Oh I ate here last week & it was so delicious. They have gluten free options & I loved it. But went back yesterday to eat again but there was a sign on door stating they are closed for cleaning reopen on the 14th.

Ordered chicken & spinach enchiladas - no flavor at all. Ultimate margaritas were too sweet. Ordered extra shot of tequila to put in it...no better & was $25. I won't be going back. Staff was friendly.

My friend and I chose this restaurant based on reviews and were very disappointed. We arrived before dinner rush around 4:45pm to a basically empty restaurant. We were asked for our food order and we needed more time to which the waiter returned every 2 mins for. Quickly choosing something, she chose 2 A La Carte items and I went for a seafood chimichanga dinner with rice. Her items were satisfactory and very basic. Mine on the other hand was lacking. These were the 2 smallest chimichangas I have ever seen! I bet there were not 6 shrimp chopped into pieces between the two and the rice had no flavor at all. How do you mess up a staple dish like Mexican rice? I will never visit this establishment again! Pricing was BEYOND HIGH for such small portions and quality of food. The waiter was less than friendly and once business picked up, he rarely came to check on us. We had to ask for more drinks multiple times. I expected more based on the amazing reviews found on Yelp. Be cautious!

I wish I can give the place a better rating I have never eaten there before the kids order kids meals when we order from the Chinese place next door.We do it at least twice a month if not more.Three out of the last 10 times they have gotten a simple kids order wrong. This last time it was the same exact guy.And instead of apologizing to me and giving me my order he passed the responsibility off to someone else. And he thought that giving me a order of chips and salsa would be okay because that's what he gave me last time for messing up my order.I would never have left a review if he wouldn't have had passed the buck. For him to make this mistake twice in a row and then had the problem off to someone else is very disrespectful to the customer and the company.Fortunately the manager was there this time and she offered to replace both of the kids meals next time we come in.Thank you for accepting responsibility for someone else's mistake.

The 4 Star Review of this place is from the prior staff, who have recently left the building. This is not 4 star Mexican. You were warned. I'm not Nostradamus but I called this one...this place will be closed in 6 months. If you read my review of this restaurant I posted on the Los Amigos on Brambleton yelp site then you will see my criticisms prior to the opening of this establishment. In case you missed it, I said that opening the 14th Mexican restaurant within a 3 square miles of towers mall is stupid and will fail. There is literally no way to staff the 500 Mexican Restaurants in Roanoke City with competent kitchen staff even if Joe keeps the borders wide open forever. If you read my prior review I said I would never go to this towers location. That ended up being a lie because I was lured in by pure convenience-gravity to this run-o-the-mill eatery. In the beginning, there was actually an element of care in the food presentation and service that would have made the place a solid 3 star Mexican spot. That has changed. The prior staff have disappeared and taken their personable service and 3 star Mexican food with them. What is left is 1 star service and 1 or 2 star food. The service was unprofessional (not rude / just goofy) and the food sucks. Specifically, * Whoever made the salsa put all of the salt in Roanoke in the current batch. * The shrimp quesadilla was served open ended and actually looked in color and consistence like a dirty diaper. * I could taste the faintest industrial dish soap or spray cleaner in my drink and then I thought I could also taste it in my food. It was as if the dishes had not been properly rinsed. I said nothing about it and during the meal my 14 year old said, "I taste cleaner or soap in my coke or something." I agreed. It was very similar to how the Mellow Mushroom in Roanoke drowns their entire restaurant in that terrible smelling table-cleaner and you cant tell if its in the food or what. * The food was not prepared or presented to the same quality as it was just a couple months ago. * The staff consisted of two men who were sort of trying but failing. They were slovenly dressed and tolerated our presence with slight grins but not much more. That was my last visit to this place. In all, I will be proven right once again when this place closes up. Just get it over with and put the methadone clinic in the lower corner at towers; most of the clients are already sitting around over there anyway.

My husband and I had dinner with my sister and brother-in-law while in town and we really liked it. Chips and salsa were good and I liked my margarita. The portions of everything were very filling. I had a chimichanga, which is something I hadn't had in years. I enjoyed it. Service was very friendly. I'd definitely go back!

Good food, ok service. We took a weekend trip to Roanoke. VA. The enchiladas Chipotle were good and the pollo el amigo was really good and filling. My only gripe is we were sitting outside and all I was drinking was water. The server took my glass to fill but never brought it back. The margarita glass was never empty though. Guess it is what you pay for that what is a necessity.

Service was poor! Wanted to order àn ala carte item and was told it was no longer àn option. Asked about lunch specials,, he said it was still ìn the system leaving me to believe I could order a lunch portion.. when the food came out, it was not a lunch portion but a full priced menu option. While eating my chimichanga, I found a very large piece of fat ìn it. LUNCH WAS OVER!! ?

My appetizer of Aji tuna topped with avocado fresh jalapeño slices and a soy sauce. Salmon tacos with a mango salsa black beans and rice. And a traditional lime margarita. I can't believe I've never been to this restaurant. Their selection is very creative compared to traditional Mexican restaurants. The food is very good and service is friendly and fast! I'll be back! Yohjanna my was my server, I highly recommend her. She was great and helped me pick the best food for my palate!

Simply WOW. Very Thrilled Customer here. I got the grilled sizzling steak fahita for lunch with my wife who got the Nachos Supreme. The waitress was perfect, the manager nice as always, and this place is run like a finely oiled machine. Non-GMO to boot. Excellent dining experience. Nice atmosphere. They play Mexican music which is cultural as well. Never disappointed here!

Fast clean and friendly. Authentic mexican. Most importantly, great margaritas. I judge a mexican restaurant on their margaritas. A simple cocktail, but surprisingly one that for some reason, many cant make. Come to Los Amigos. You wont be disappointed.
