WHAT on earth has happened in here?We used to come in a lot—and it was nice. Not now. The masked barista was bordering on rude and was wearing an ear piece —which was clearly distracting them, the place looks disheveled, the BATHROOM was DISGUSTING beyond belief (but the door is locked so no one can sneak in and clean?).I felt I needed a mask and gloves to protect myself from the filth.Last visit for me.

The person at the counter was really rude and my husband's coffee was like warm. My frappe was really watery and tasteless. Waste of money. This was our first time trying out this coffee shop and I really wish we had stopped somewhere else instead.

Not good here today. The counter person is Nicole and she made my large $8 chocolate shake into a watery milk and she forgot the whipped cream.....she corrected it and I said Thank you 4 times to her.... she never said a word. I selected print on the receipt and she balled it up and threw it away. Not coming here again..... very disappointed. If the shake was $2.... I could understand it better. If you are mad.. stay home....if you hate your job... please quit. McDonalds is hiring at $18.75 an hour.

This place is a disgrace to downtown Roanoke. Once a reliable and much-loved gathering space with good coffee and food, it has willingly become nothing more than a homeless shelter. Homeless people occupy the only restroom for prolonged periods of time while paying customers have no option when they need to use the facilities. The homeless blare music throughout the store on their phones and approach customers while they’re ordering to ask if they will buy them things. The staff just watches indifferently as this unfolds nonstop. It is truly remarkable the state of this establishment these days and is unfortunate it’s so close to Hotel Roanoke. What a shame that the visitors to our city end up walking into this when they’re looking for a cup of coffee. This is one business I will never go back to.

I have a close friend who went to school in Roanoke and had the chance to visit a few times... This was one of my favorite stops I made Downtown. It's a cute little hipster coffee shop serving locally roasted fresh coffee and baked goods, and featuring local events. Just one person was working when we visited but out items came out quick. The worker thankfully wasn't swamped by orders or anything, but seemed to have to keep busy. I ordered a limeade, along with a fresh cranberry orange muffin. This bite to eat proved to be delicious and refreshing. My friends also enjoyed their coffee and baked goods!! We then sat in the warm cafe for a bit before heading back out to the cold city. It proved to be quite comfy and I was able to charge my phone! I really love Roanoke and all it has to offer - one of my fav features is this cute coffee and tea shop!! Stop in and get a cold or hot beverage and a snack on the go, or stay a while!!

The banana pudding cooler was delicious! And the place smells heavenly every time you walk in. Their coffe is grade a quality, just wish they were closer to where I live.

I ordered a milkshake. It was thinner than melted ice cream. I took it back. The barista added something to it, but it was no better. He offered to remake it, and it still wasn’t any kind of milkshake. Lesson: Don’t order a milkshake at this MMC&T location. I’ve never had this problem at the MMC&T on Starkey Rd.

First time here, and I’m in love already and I haven’t even received my coffee. The gentleman was welcoming and informative.

Every time I’m in town I go to this shop as it is mine and my family’s absolute favorite coffee company. I tried to purchase 2.5 lbs of coffee and .5 lb of tea with two lattes. I asked the barista, Jacob, if I could have the bags ground. Jacob responded, “This is going to take a while for me to do as there are other customers.” I said, “Okay, I can wait, in the meantime I also wanted to order two lattes.” Jacob said, “No. This is way too much. It’s just me here. I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” I asked what his issue was as I just said I’d wait his only response was, “leave now or I’m going to call the police.” I left and called back moments later requesting to speak to a manager, the same barista, Jacob, asked if I was the same person who just left. I said “Yes, and I’m very upset as to how you treated me and would like to speak to your manager.” Jacob hung up on me. I eventually spoke to a barista at another location who said a manager will be notified immediately. I truly hope something is done about this as this was completely unacceptable and I don’t want anyone else to go through such foolishness.

This is my favorite coffee spot! The employee was so rude. I've never had a bad experience until just now. I came in 10 mins until close. Got a scone and a latte. They handed me the scone, made my drink, set it on the counter and turned their back!!

Friendly staff and good coffee. Love seeing old downtown buildings revitalized into something new. Tried one of their seasonal drinks and it was great.
