I could imagine that there is a better treat than a On the Rise pecan sticky bun, but on a Saturday morning jaunt to the market I would hard pressed to imagine anything better than one of these. Buttery, just sweet enough, and pillowy soft without being cloying or doughy. Well, what are you waiting for?

I see another review mentioning the cappuccino being coffee with hot milk, and so bad they tossed it. I'm about to do the same. Could've just thrown the $7 in the trash. So bitter too.Maybe the food is better.

Busy little place. Service was excellent the young ladies were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast pizza was tasty. The pastry was delicious. Would definitely stop in again if I’m in the area.Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly environment. There were multiple families with young children during my visit

Breakfast pizza is a good idea. Would be much better with more veggies and some seasonings but overall it was good. We enjoyed the visit.

Best service ever very good breakfast ?

It has got a kind of old, "don't need to try much anymore" vibe going, but maybe because the muffins and coffee are epic, and they DON'T need to try anymore? Steady stream of customers on a Monday morning says it's own thing. The mocha was better than Starbucks and the Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffin....sinful. But reference the photo...no style points for presentation. ?

Love this little Deli! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! It's a nice escape from the daily grind from work.

Stopped in out of the heat in the morning for a delicious Pain Au Chocolat. It certainly rivaled the ones I had in Paris.

3.5 but jaded.... I have diabetes and needed a snack so I got a slice. But were visiting from the pizza capital of the world, the greater New Haven area. Very very very basic pizza. No flop with a light soft crust. Thick crust in nature. The coffee was fresh and robust. And the assortment of pastries were great. Def recommend for Cafe bakeshop needs

I discovered On the Rise recently, had walked past it on lunch before but finally decided to give it a try. So happy I did, the location itself is quiet and comfortable, definitely ideal for a nice calm lunch. I had the special which was a pimento cheese grilled cheese and cheddar tomato soup. It was so good, the sandwich was so cheesy and soup really delicious. They have a massy selection of treats like cupcakes and brownies. I will definitely be back and absolutely recommend.

Such a cute place with good food and coffee. Breakfast for two was only $16. I definitely recommend. And it’s right by the farmers market.
