My husband and I ate with you today. I can honestly say I've had better frozen dinners. Both of our meals were overly salted and therefore we couldn't eat much. For a restaurant catering to seniors, this is just ridiculous. High blood pressure in most seniors and salt is not our friend. Let people salt their own food. We will not be back.

Having spent a night in Roanoke, we went in search of a good local restaurant & after checking some reviews (of course;) we found ourselves here. We opted for both breakfast and lunch choices - an omelette & open face turkey sandwich ...both excellent! Our server was super friendly & checked in with us often - atmosphere of the place was awesome, like an old diner from years past...really felt welcome! Location is good - just south of Downtown, plenty of parking, & there was a tiny 'gift shop' at the front register. If you find yourself in the area - worth a visit!

While traveling through the area, we were in search of a nice local place for lunch & happened upon the Roanoker - great choice! We ordered off the breakfast & lunch menus - omelette & open-faced sandwich - both were great! Server was pleasant & attentive - also liked the little 'gift shop' as the entrance. Recommended!

In town for work and this place seemed as local as you can get. Stopped by for lunch and was the youngest patron in the building (I even got a seemingly default senior discount). The waitress was super sweet and attentive. The flounder was done just right, crispy and flavorful. I also loved the mac and cheese and the homemade biscuits. Overall, a tasty lunch that made me nostalgic for the days of early dinners with my grandparents. This restaurant been around for 80 years and I hope will stay around for many years to come!

This restaurant has been in business about 80 years. Was in Roanoke for a friend's birthday and couldn't resist going as it's been years. It's a solid choice for breakfast which is their claim to fame. They are known for their biscuits and country ham. No pictures, we ate too fast. But you've seen breakfast plates.

Excellent sit down family restaurant with good food at a reasonable price. Meeting rooms and nook like seating areas make for nice small good seating.

This place was so good! It was very busy with a line waiting out the door but it moved fast! We were seated within 15 minutes! We meant a couple who were regulars in line. Everyone was so friendly. It was very reasonably priced and food was delicious. An authentic diner!

One of the best breakfasts I've ever had! Real quality southern food, great prices, quick service, a clean interior, and friendly staff. This is southern hospitality! I ordered the stimulus package which includes 4 items and a drink for less than $10.

Always a great experience here. Home style comfort food, friendly service, and a quiet atmosphere. Karen took care of my dad and me at lunch today and was absolutely lovely! Can't wait to come back.

This place was incredible! From the staff and management to the wonderful (and bountiful!) food, we can’t recommend enough. It’s rightly an institution that deserves a stop when you’re in Roanoke
