When the smoker sits outside the front door you have arrived at heaven! Tj’s was welcoming and felt like family. Food was over the top good. Had pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches. We will drive to tj’s from md again❤️❤️

Wow! What an amazing stop! We've been traveling for a month. We have had bbq in Birmingham at Jim and Nicks...our favorite, and Martins, very good but...TJ's is the best bbq we've had! Amazing service and wonderful food! Hidden secret in this area for sure! They will have to expand in the future when they are discovered! Such sweet folks! It was fun to meet TJ and enjoy the fruit of his labor!! The pulled pork, green beans, cole slaw, cornbread! My husband had the beans! It was all fantastic!

When the smokers are out front you know the food is going to be good. But it was amazing and we will be back!! We had the pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches the bbq sauce was on point and both meat choices were moist and Smokey. If you haven't been it is a MUST try!!

I was so excited to try this place- mostly because of all the 5star reviews, but also... I was starving for ribs.Let me first say, this place and its menu is def authentic backyard BBQ! I could smell the love and time that goes into cooking their food long before I got there. Service was great- dude was polite and helpful- prices were what I expected. My reason for 3stars is this: I ordered a half rack. There was barely any "sauce" at all on the ribs....like, VERY minimal. Meat did not "fall off the bone" like I had expected- actually, the meat was way more dry than juicy. Also, there was quite a bit of "dry rub" or seasoning...I might even say excessive-which, in turn, obviously caused the ribs to be super salty. The rub was very, very, very hot...spicy hot. I can't remember a time when I've had to grab a drink in the middle of eating ribs because my mouth was uncomfortably burning. They were out of Mac and cheese...and this was around 2pm. Perhaps that's normal,as I hear it's awesome. I ordered green beans instead and they were phenomenal. As for the ribs...I was truly disappointed. Im no Rib Expert, nor do I claim to be, so maybe super salty hot n spicy with minimal sauce is how they're supposed to be.?...idk.Perhaps I just got a funky batch or it was just an off day....I will most definitely try this place again because I want to be fair, but I also wanted to be honest in my review.

In town visiting for a concert. The food was amazing, brisket reminded me of home (Texas). I love the family vibe going on & the young man at the counter was a hard worker. Will definitely be back when we are in town.

The food here is the best BBQ I’ve had in the area. Portions are generous, the ribs were juicy and tender, and the collards were not bland! Definitely recommend it!

The food was AMAZING! Best ribs, chicken legs, Mac & cheese, macaroni salad, baked beans I have ever had. The brisket was delicious also and I am critical since my husbands is very yummy! He said it was on point also and he will take all of our out of town guests here! We will be back to try the rest of the menu and have some more ribs!

The food was ridiculously good. RIDICULOUSLY good. Nice heat from the rub on the half rack ribs. Hush puppies crispy outside, moist inside, deviled eggs are a side option! Friendly staff. Scrumptious smells coming out of the smokers in the front parking lot. I simply can't say enough good things about this place!

Tried TJ's for the first time and it won't be the last! We split a half rack of ribs and a pulled pork sandwich. Both were delicious; meaty, great sauce, plentiful for 2 people. The green beans were seasoned just right but we weren't crazy about the baked beans. That could be because hubby is a baked bean master:-)
