We absolutely love the food here….. we found them a year ago at the Dr Pepper park wing festival & adored their wings. The only downside for this place of business is their lack of management for their servers. There hasn’t been one visit where we had decent service/dining experience. Always be prepared for a long wait for anything. After the last visit I decided to write this review- after receiving our food then finishing up, our server never came back to give us a check nor boxes. After waiting maybe 10-20 minutes, I had to walk up to the pickup station to get boxes and our check. During the 10-20 minute wait, we observed our server outside on her phone, as well as, inside on her phone just scrolling. Like I stated at the beginning- their food is awesome (ribs & copperhead road wings!!) but I wish the service was better. We have invited friends and family here and they also love the food but the service doesn’t bring them back. If you aren’t picky with service, I definitely recommend Rocky Mount Smokehouse!

Waitress took my order, someone else brought it to me when ready. Waitress never came back and checked on me. Went to the counter myself to get refills of drink. Brisket so dry, had to have something to get it down. Mac and cheese also very dry, over cooked.

Wings were small. Food was served in good time and hot but never saw a waitress again. Saw two different parties with about 6 or 7 people walked back out after never being seated after waiting 15 or 20 minutes. Lots of empty tables were available for them.

Delicious BBQ with friendly service and clean restrooms. We had ribs, baked beans and a BBQ bowl (Mac n cheese, pulled pork, cole slaw topped with hush puppies). Everything was tasty and the portions were large. We ended up taking home ha all of each of the entrees.

Service was a bit slow and likely needed more help. Tables are very close together almost like eating with someone you didn't know. Food was mediocre. Had pulled pork that came with sauce already in it, meat was mushy and little taste. I prefer pork where I can add sauce to my liking and more seasoned.

Great food. Love the wings! One of my favorite places to go in Rocky Mount.
The food is very good, with the ribs and pulled pork outstanding. The brisket was good, just not as good as the others. The staff was friendly and the food came out quickly.

I had to come to Rocky Mount for an errand, and usually don't make it down there very often, but now that I've found this place, it is worth going out of my way to eat here.During my meal it came to me what makes this place better than even the best chain restaurant that serves brisket and ribs - the owner of this place has shaken hands with the person who butchered the meat, and probably even the farmer who raised the animal. You can taste the difference in the freshness and quality of the meat, which is then smoked to perfection.As someone who usually isn't a fan of slaw, I was truly pleasantly surprised at the option of hushpuppies instead. I chose Mac and Cheese as my side, and while not as good as my Grandma's, it is exceptional compared to most I've had at a restaurant. Then I also had to try the Brunswick Stew, which was probably the best I've had. As most are far too tomato-y, theirs is almost perfect, the only problem being the cup size was nowhere near enough.My wife enjoyed her burger and fries as well, and we liked the BBQ sauce so much we had to buy a bottle.The staff was exceptionally friendly and I hope we get to see them again soon.
