The food was great. My husband had the beef brisket. I had the chicken and brisket dinner combo, with mac n cheese and cole slaw as my sides. The sweet tea was definitely homemade and yummy. The meat was perfect, tasted fantastic, and portions were more than enough. The service was wonderful and we felt welcomed. They made sure we were good and checked to see if we needed anything.

This is one of those local gems I love to find when traveling. The brisket and pork dinner was perfectly smoked and tender. BBQ sauce on the side to season to your own level. Tomato and Cucumber side dish was amazing. I would come back just for that side.The staff were super friendly. The interior was low key. Looked clean, nothing fancy and not trying to to be. Just good BBQ like it should be.I'm only sorry I didn't make it here before the last day of a 2 week stay. I couldhave eaten here at least one more time!

Cool smokehouse vibe with live music on Saturday night. Friendly staff who knows their regulars and treats everyone well.Cons: brisket and ribs were a bit dry, although I did come at the end of the day.Pros: chicken wings were great in both juiciness and flavor. The place was busy with a steady stream of customers and they were sold out and selling out while I had dinner.

Everything we ordered was fantastic; the pulled pork, Mac & cheese, fries, & whiting. I mean absolutely tasty….. but the cabbage was a bit too hard for me. It wasn’t disgusting it was just a bit too hard for my liking. But the rest of the food was so tasty we’ve decided to make this our BBQ & fish spot. Nowhere else will get our $$ for BBQ & fish. I look forward to trying the fried chicken bc it’s been hard for me to find some good fried chicken that’s fried right. Well done folks!!Parking: Huge parking lot with plenty of space

I delivered a door dash for here and they had speedy and polite service, so i came back to purchase the food today, and the cashier remembered me as a dasher, was not expecting to be remembered 4 days later that meant a lot, and the prices are afordable as well as the food seems to be cooked by order and that means hot and fresh! I wish them the best of bussiness!!

In town and we stopped by for lunch after searching for a local spot. I can't say anything bad or mediocre about Backwoodz! I had brisket and chicken, Mac, coleslaw and the cornbread muffin: fire. My colleague had the fried fish and smoked wings with Mac, and he said no complaints.Let me not forget their in-house sauce too. Everything about it was to my liking. Local & good: always gonna get my support ???. Highly recommended. Outstanding service too.(I didn't give 5 stars after just one visit; but when we go back, it'll be updated!)
