Very clean and nice atmosphere. The service was very quick. The owner was a very pleasure able person to talk with. And he even made things for my kids that wasn't on the menu. The food was amazing as well. If I'm ever in the area again it will be an added stop to our trip to eat here again.

The food is decent, but well in line with what you expect at the price point. I've eaten there before and it's good enough for lunch when you're in the area. The operators are super friendly and are probably the actual reason I return. I also like supporting small business vs. chains when possible.

Food is hot fresh and good.. only problem is I tried to point out I got 3 ketchups & no BBQ sauce.. & was told I got BBQ sauce.. so the sweet sauce is pure ketchup......?

Decent pork sando. Could use a bit more seasoning on some sides but the meat was plentiful. Very neat restaurant with lots of stuff going on and the owners were very hospitable. Sometimes the hours of operation are a little off and it can be tough to catch them open. Overall a good experience though.

Bbq pork plate. Pork was nice. Greenbean side was plain. Reminded me of greenbeans from the can. Macaroni and cheese seemed in-house made and the beans and coleslaw were great. Cornbread was soft and moist.The proprietor was super friendly and checked in on us a few times for refills of tea.Went for late lunch. It was fairly empty.

I loved this place! However after Covid they couldn't open. When they did I guess it had been too much for them. They closed and building is for sale

Was on my way north from Williamsburg and got hungry and found this on yelp. I'm glad I found this hidden gem! Definitely looks like a local favorite. The place is decorated with cute signs. The menu is small but tasty. Bbq pork was good and hush puppies were delicious. Probably one of the best things is the lady at the cash register who also is the server. She was so friendly and took the time to explain the various bbq sauces. You can tell she enjoys her job. Next time I drive by the area I'll be back!

We're on the road from FL to NJ and stopped here for lunch, fortunately! We both had the pork plate w/2 sides. I had limas and fries and he had baked beans and coleslaw. Everything was excellent! They were not busy today which is a mystery because the folks were really nice and the food was excellent. Stop in if you get the chance!

5 stars on the service! I’d give the BBQ/food 4 stars but really the service is exactly what you would hope for. Woman at register was very friendly and the food was walked out to me. There is sauce and a paper towel roll on the table too so all you need is right here- just the way a good southern boy like me enjoys it.Portion was OK- gonna come back and try the other sides but as you can see the sandwich is RIGHT! Little over an inch of meat and throw the slaw on top and you got a meal. They want you to put the sauce on the sandwich- from the south I love a good vinegar and it was pretty bland.Like I said I’ll be back to try more but so far I’d certainly recommend if anything for the service and stories

Pn the road looking for lunch, and Google maps, for once, misled us. When we wound up on a dead end while trying to find our first choice, Google redeemed themselves by coming up with Hillbilly Red's. Here you will find decor that is sutdiously backwoods, a staff that's very friendly and attenteive, anf pulled pork that my wife--a pulled pork fan--said was the best ever. I was not equally moved but I agree that the food was great. The sandwih was generous, and you get to sauce it to taste with one ofour options--Carolina vinegar style, Aunt Lily's (wife's favorite), Taxas hot, and their own Hillbilly Red's, which is what I used. The sandwich comes with some nice crinkle fries and a little bit of good cole slaw. A lucky find!
